Masons POV

I never thought Madelyn likes swimming. I mean, yes she knows how to swim I've known that. But swimming on your own after coming back is so random. This doesn't matter though because now this creates a perfect opportunity to get my plan in action. It's just so hard having a normal conversation with her.

Big problem I don't know if she went to the indoor pool or outdoor pool. I change into my swimming trunks and I decide to keep my shirt on. I walk to the elevator, Madelyn can't get away that fast. I may not be working fast but these elevators are so so so slow! I mean there's so many floors and so many people, she couldn't have gotten far enough. I look above the elevator and look at which number it's going to. The bright golden numbers with an arrow going up show level 22. In my free time I've studied the whole hotel, out of boredom, and I know that's the indoor pool. But now I need to wait for it to come all the way back to floor 17 and I'm sure that's gonna take 50 hours. I'll just take the stairs. I make my way to the stairs and I run up. Okay I kind of underestimated the stairs it's really tiring even for me and my stamina is high.

Reaching the level 22 was like reaching the sun. I open the door and have to walk some more to finally reach the pool. You have to be got to be kidding me. Im now in front of 3 doors each having a different purpose. The door in the middle, says "Leisure Pool" and underneath the same sign says "(relaxing pool)". The door on the right says "Diving Pool," and the one on the left says "Olympic Pool." Woah, I knew they dedicated a whole floor just for an indoor pool but I didn't know they had so many different options wow. Im assuming she's not going to diving pool. She also probably won't be in the olympic pool because that's mainly for competitive swimming or just swimming laps in general. So she's probably in the leisure pool. I enter the middle brown door and as I do I'm greeted with this luxurious, giant indoor pool. If I had known the pool looked like this I would've been in here everyday, it's gorgeous. Best part of all is that not a single soul was here. I mean not that many tourist here they prefer bigger, popular countries, and the people who are here all prefer using the outdoor pool. The pool even had a waterfall attached to it. Could've been done better, but still nice.

I exit the door. Okay um my second guess is the olympic pool. I enter the pool room and it's giant. The pool though is 10x bigger than the other one and I personally thought that the other one was big. The ceiling had a bunch of wall decoration. Besides the point, Madelyn was here and she was doing freestyles in the pool, really fast. The olympic pool had no lane dividers which I guess they didn't wanna add since it's not being used that competitively.

I sit on one of the lounge chairs and I just watch her swim. Her long brown hair was going everywhere as she was swimming. She's taking no breaks at all. I take a look down onto my watch and it's already been one minute. I don't think this is safe. She doesn't even do swimming professionally.

She's about to finish another lap but she stops mid way and gasps up for air, some of her hair in front of her face. She starts to breathe with her mouth, meanwhile she pushes up her hair to see and immediately flinches one she sees me.

I laugh at her reaction.

I can easily tell from her facial expression that she's annoyed.

"What are you doing here," Madelyn says annoyed, her voice still gasping for air.

"Just came by for a swim, is that so wrong?" I replied casually.

My response clearly made her more mad, "Then why aren't you swimming."

"Im just preparing for the swim can't directly go in," I say with the same tone as before.

Honestly going in when she was splashing so much would be so much effort.

"Then can you go to the other pool why did you have to come here," She says, after each word she would take a small breath. She tried to not make it obvious but it was.

"Rodriguez, please shut up, you can't even breathe right now," I catch her off guard when I call her using her last name.

"You know- I'm not- If your gonna be swimming here then ill be leaving," she says as she makes her way out of the pool.

In this moment I realized I messed up. Like badly. Im supposed to get her to like me not hate me extra. What do I do, what do I do.

Madelyn speed walks and before she actually leaves I stand up and grab her wrist. Slowly she turns around, her breath catching, as she looks up at me. Her green eyes, big, staring into my brown eyes. The sound of the water dripping from her hair onto the floor was the only sound there was as we made eye contact. Her gaze was hard, this was the look of hate.

FLASHBACK

They sat in a room with just 2 lamps on. Madelyn sat crossed leg on the bed. Her hands describing the situation that she was rambling about.

"And then she told me, hey- are you even listening," Madelyn said as she realized Mason has been awfully quiet for a long time.

But Mason just stared at her in awe. He was laying down on the bed on his stomach. His chin resting on his elbow. He was barely awake but all he could do was stare at her.

Suddenly Madelyn was at a loss of words. All she could do was stare back.

They just stared back at each other.

Not a single word out of their mouths.

Not a single breathe.

The room was so quiet, but it felt loud.

END OF FLASHBACK

"Let me go," Madelyn says as she tries to release her wrist from my grip.

But I didn't, not yet.

I haven't looked into her green eyes like that in a while. Plus I have a mission to do also.

"No, I was thinking we could swim together, or talk?" I say still not letting her go.
