Meeting You Again

writers note: sometimes we look at what we wrote 2 month ago and were like, "WHAT IS THIS." Well this was me with this chapter so enjoy.

Madelyn's POV

My eyes immediately open but I close them. The bed is too comfy. Also I can't believe Mason is letting me keep the bed, so weird. I turn to my other side and pull the blanket higher. As I do so I catch a glimpse of the ceiling. As I look around the room that has a floral and rococo designs and wallpapers around it. This looks too rich. Where am I and what the fuck happened last night I asked myself. I force myself to sit up on the comfy bed. The room had many historical painting and many gold, blue, and white wall and ceiling decorations. Now I'm scared, did I get up ducted by the mafia! Recall Madelyn cmon, I think to myself. I was at the ball with Asher. I swapped partners and got with Mason, we fought and then I don't remember. I look down at myself and realize I'm wearing a whole silk, pink pajama set. In fear I get out of the  comfy bed.  Okay I don't remember getting changed. What the- seriously. I flinch once I hear someone knock the door. 

Asher enters the room and says, "Oh hey your finally awake."

"What am I doing here," I say horrified as I realize I'm in the royal palace. 

"You don't remember?" Ashers asks. 

I put my mind to it really hard. 

FLASHBACK TO THE BALL

I grab a random drink offered by a random guy and chug the whole thing down. My mood is pretty ruined. After they announced the prince I head to the bathroom just for a break. I try to act like the fight with Mason didn't affect me at all, and that it doesn't matter, but I don't know I don't feel very good. I make my way to the bathroom as I felt a headache. As I walk I catch a glimpse of Mason just standing there. Suddenly I bump into the waitress. 

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry I didn't even see you there," I immediately apologize. 

"Don't worry about it happens," she says blandly, but she smiles as she does so. 

She talks to me for like 5 minutes, then the women walks away like nothing happened. I continue making my way to the bathroom. It is such a long walk and my heels are killing me. The ballroom was so big and they made the bathroom as isolated as possible. I want to remove these heels so bad but I can't have all these people looking at me weird. After around a 15 minute walk I finally reach the bathroom.  The place near the bathroom was gorgeous, but slightly darker than the actual ball. Once I reach the door I stand there. Not in shock but definitely an emotion I can't name. It's like you're surprised or shocked, but you should've known it was coming to stab you. Mason was kissing my assistance, the girl who was here to be attending me. His back was on the women's bathroom door while he was kissing her. Her back was facing me so she couldn't see me at all.  He glares at me then raises the middle finger at me.

I did not walk all the way to here in heels just to not use the bathroom. 

"Can you guys please move?" I ask them both, clearly exhausted and annoyed, but all I get in reply is the sound of air. 

I ask them again but more loudly.

Yet again, nothing. 

So I ask again and finally my assistant looks back and realizes I'm standing there. She pulls away from Mason and says, "Sorry we didn't see you there." 

Although she's apologizing, I can tell from her voice that I ruined the moment. Masons back is still on the women's bathroom door and I don't say anything as I wait for him to move. I don't want to fight. My feet is killing me, my mood is ruined by the person in front of me, I feel nauseous, and this major headache.

"Mason please just move away from the door," I say. 

He just scoffs and walks of the assistant following him. I rush into the bathroom

END OF FLASHBACK

"No I dont remember," I tell Asher. 

"All I remember was going to the bathroom that's all."

"Madelyn the ball ended and you were no where to be found!" Asher says. 

"Your parents were so worried and the staff had to send them home, but I reassured them that you'll stay with me."

"I had staff work overtime to find you and luckily we did, but you were passed out, fainted in one of the stalls!"

"Are you okay, what happened," Asher asks me, concerned. 

I had no reply to tell Asher. Ive had similar situations happen before but that was months ago. When I was 15, 16 ish I dated Mason. We broke up because he cheated and that's when I developed some issues. They've never really gone away but it became better last month. Ive struggled with the issue of believing Im not good for any romantic relationship. Mason cheating on me was the first time I experienced that, but it happened again. After a while of me and Masons relationship I dated again, but I also got cheated on again. I push the whole thought away.

"Yeah, I was just really tired, I should go to the hotel now," I reply.

"Madelyn you just woke up after you fainted, at least let the doctor check you, or eat breakfast," Asher tells me. 

"No no, Asher I just go back to the hotel," I tell him as I rush panic. 

"Okay you can leave calm down Madelyn at least let the palace doctor give you a check you a check up." 

I reluctantly agree and I sit on the bed waiting for the palace doctor to come. I need to swim. I need to get out of here.
