Chapter-19 : Shocks after shock

After my meeting with George Hernandez we decided to increase the security of Mia. It's a full time security package so Adam alone cannot be enough to secure her 24 × 7 so we decided to hire Domnico also. Both of them will be there with her like a shadow. George told me he will personally take follow up of everything related to Mia's case. I told him everything about the stalker, the notes, the flowers. He is on it and I told him to inform me of everything. The thought of someone threatening her, terrifying her, someone scaring her, following her makes my blood boil. I want to kill that bastard with my bare hands. I would personally be with her all the time to protect her if I could. But that can't happen.

Domnico is older than Adam I personally selected him. He is married and a loyal man. Adam on the other hand is a bachelor, much younger. Seeing him beside Mia always spoils my mood not that I trust Domnico with Mia. I wouldn't trust any man near her, so close to her all the time. I know how a man's mind works. Also above it she is so beautiful that it hurts to look at her every time. I personally talked to them that they ever think of her other than being her bodyguard or protecting her then I will chop off their dicks, I will personally torture them so bad that they will beg for death. After making sure they get the idea of the criticality of the whole situation and their places they were appointed.

Although when I saw her after the show, it made my heart burn. I guess I would never get used to them. The next day when I saw her name on my phone, my heart started racing I thought the stalker got to her again. I thought she might be hurt. I was so worried but everything was fine. She was fine, more than that she asked me for help. She hadn't asked me for help, she hadn't asked me for anything before after our breakup. But the fact she asked for something made my heart warm up a bit. I would have given her anything, she just had to ask.

She slept during the whole flight. I asked the flight attendant to check on her to see if she was okay or wanted anything but she was in her deep sleep. She did wake up for breakfast.

We sat in our dining area, the crew had prepared waffles, eggs, bread juice and fruit salads for breakfast.
She sat in front of me. She looked a bit surprised.
"Everything looks so delicious, they had prepared breakfast like Margret." She said with a small smile.
I took a bite of the waffle "No they can't match Margret's skills."
She laughed "yeah that's true".
Watching her laugh so carelessly made my lips curl in a smile too.
God this woman.

After breakfast I went to my work while Mia watched a movie or something in the home theatre.
We didn't talk much after that she does lunch in the bedroom and I ate a little while doing meetings with my Chinese investors.

Levi is celebrating his birthday at the sparkle. The entire club was reserved for the night. The music was so loud it could make you deaf for days. I never really enjoyed clubbing myself. I am old now but during my younger years too I didn't get the concept. Amelia and I went clubbing a couple of times in our college days. I hated it every single time. The music is so loud you can't even talk to anyone and you are supposed to find new friends and companionship. How can you if you had to scream just to say a simple hi. I would rather go to a house party, which is more intimate and music is not so deafening. So you could actually talk to people and you can dance too. I am here because of Levi only. I only come to the club because of him or some business. Mostly it is because of him because he likes it so much.

Levi is dancing and drinking with his friends. I sat in the corner enjoying my whiskey with some loud music and bass.
Mia enters the party. I watched her as she walked towards Levi with a huge grin plastered on her face. She is wearing simple jeans and a top but she looks the most beautiful girl in the world.
She talked to him for a bit and handed him a present. It's a big box wrapped in blue wrapping paper. Levi is shaking the box across his ear like he could listen to anything in this noise.
Then he said something that made Mia laugh. I could hear her laugh even from my spot and loud music. Her laugh is a melodious pleasing sound I remember from the days when we use to date. I will  cherish that memory till the day I die. During those days she used to give me her carefree laughs, her pleasing smile and her gorgeous grin more often but now they are replaced by her disdain, anger and scowl. I don't blame her that's what I deserve for what I have done to her.
