Wei Ying returned to the meeting room with Wen Qing and Jiang Cheng the following day. The other four were already there, with Lan Xichen looking like he hadn't been able to get a single wink of sleep. Wei Ying can imagine why, finding out the person who saved his life had committed awful crimes and that innocent family members of his clan had been slaughtered like pigs.

Nie Mingjue silently contemplated something while Nie Huaisang stewed in his rage. It was like someone had switched them overnight. Nie Huaisang was basically in a boat similar to Lan Xichen. Nie Mingjue probably felt a sense of vindication as those two never believed him when he said that Jin Guangyao was a sneaky bastard.

Sitting down, he turned to Jin Zixuan; he looked unsure but determined. He guessed reading about the sins of his clan, he decided it was time to step up.

"Welcome back. I hope that we'll be able to decide how to handle this matter." Nie Huaisang looked up, "We need to reveal this to be revealed in front of all the sects." Nie Mingjue nods, "We can't let them get away with all of this."

"But, we'll need more concrete evidence. Because they'll want to know where our proof came from, and if they connect it back to Wei Wuxian, they might just throw out everything." Lan Xichen sounded more defeated than he'd ever heard.

"So, we'll need to get more witnesses." Jiang Cheng grumbled before something struck him. "We also need to see if there's anyone else involved besides the Jin Clan. There were three people in that orb, one of them was Xue Yang without a doubt but, the other two hide their identities well."

Wei Ying let out a sigh as he leaned back. "So, that means you need to sit back and keep a close eye on everything going on within your territory." He glanced at Lan Xichen specifically, "Which means that everything should be investigated no matter how small."

Lan Xichen nodded, "Some cases can be used as training for the Juniors." He's been meaning to give the task of assigning nighthunts to someone else. He knows that matters the elders deemed insignificant were all tossed out.

"You should also focus on building your sects up so that the Jin's have nothing to lord over you." Jiang Cheng frowned but didn't complain. One of the reasons they allowed Jin Guangshan to do as he pleased was because they needed him for money. So, they should take this time to make beneficial trade agreements so they can return to their former wealth.

Wei Ying looked at Nie Huaisang, he closed his fan, sensing his gaze. "The Nie Sect will follow the lead of Lotus Pier by dedicating a temple to Jianyi-zun. That'll ensure that there's no more children on the streets and we'll have more cultivators."

Wei Ying nods, "Jin Zixuan, are you willing to go against your father?"

"Yes," Jin Zixuan clenched his fist. "But, not as I am now." Oh, a discussion for later. He moved his gaze to Lan Xichen.

Lan Xichen frowned, "We have already taken all the orphans in Gusu as outer disciples." He tilted his head slightly, "So, I think I'll focus on fortifying our sect." And cleaning up the Elder Council.

Wen Qing and him shared a look, "I'll continue traveling and cleansing the land. I'll also supply you with easy methods of communication that can't be tampered with." Wen Qing would likely work on training more healers since there's already a few who's taken interest.

He'll have to organize his territory a bit better. There are so many children who want to learn things and so many people who want to put their skills to use. Maybe he should help by exporting their things to a few merchants.

Wei Ying looked up, "So, what do you want me to do Jin Zixuan?" Jin Zixuan's lips pressed into a thin line, "I want you to do what you did to Wen Qing to me."
