"Excuse me, You're Ying-di's divine mother are you not?"

"I see that he's already told you the truth." He turns to the tiger and sheep skin. It was such a good act, if he wasn't used to this behavior he would have fallen for it. "What do you want to know?"

"Are you good with runes?" Hayami raised an eyebrow. "Course, where do you think A-Ying inherited his affinity for Talismans and Arrays from?" At the most basic roots, talismans and arrays are runes. Honestly, this world's arrays remind him of the Witches magic circles.

"I see then, may this lowly one ask for your assistance?" Hayami crossed her arms, waiting for an explanation. Nie Huainsang sighed before closing his fan. He should be a bit more sincere if he wanted her help.

"When Ying-di died, he left a list of things that he wanted to give to A-Yuan. I've tried my best to recreate these items but now I'm a bit stuck."

"What are you stuck on?" Knowing her son, he probably had come up with something brilliant but out of reach for most mortals.

"Here's the description of the item." He wants an item that can transform into different weapons. The only thing that came to mind was Taerang, her husband's spear. It could transform into different weapons as well. But, if she had to guess, his inspiration might have been Zidian.

She hummed as he looked through, "If you ask me, he should have at least three so, if one gets stolen he still has the others." And so, all his weapons aren't contained to one space. Doing too many weapons on an item can cause it to become unstable and destroy itself.

"Does this mean that you'll help?"

"Why not, it'll serve as a nice project while I'm training them." She hands the papers back. "But, before you make them, you should train him on using them." Maybe they should start with something easy, something that he uses a lot already.

"That's true, but I would like to test it before then." Hayami turned, "Well, then come. I'll make some items for us to test it on."

Nie Huaisang had to sprint to keep up, why does everyone have such long legs?!

A-Yuan was standing on his tippy toes as he looked over the desk. Aunty Qing was preparing medicine for her patients, so he was trying to stay quiet so as to not disturb her work. But, it was so exciting to watch.

"A-Yuan, give me your arm." He obediently handed it over. Aunty Qing undid the bandages, "Did you sprain it?"

"A mean elder had pushed me." He admitted before calming her, "But, don't worry! Bobo dealt with her already!" Technically a lie but, he's going to see through her punishment when he gets home. Actually, he left this morning, so he should already be back by now.

"I see, well since it's just a sprain I don't need to do too much." She rubbed a salve over the wound. He hissed as he flinched back, "What will this do?"

"Stimulate your flow of chi, it'll heal your wound faster." Does this mean he'll be able to use his dominant hand again soon?

"Don't get too excited, A-Yuan. If you overexert it then the salve will be rendered useless."

"Okay," He nodded. "Aunty Qing, you know a lot about healing. Can teas be used for healing?"

"Depending on what you use, tea can do many things. But, it can't heal a wound, at most it could just start the healing process." She didn't even question why he wanted to know this information.

He never had a plan, he just went with the flowStories to obsess over. Discover now
