Luke woke up with a dry mouth and a pounding head. He would have been comfortable if it weren't for the ache in his eyes. When he pealed his eyes open, he was expecting to wince at sunlight but it was a bit dark in the room, aside from the the dimmed light coming from behind the dark curtains on the window. He looked around at the familiar walls that held many pictures. All of them he'd looked at before.

He didn't focus on them this time. What he focused on now was that he was in Jude's room. He winced as he sat up and looked around. He was in Jude's bed. That confused him more than anything. When he looked to his left, his phone was charging on a night stand and there was a large glass of water towering over three Advil.

Luke smirked in appreciation. He took the glass and the Advil and swallowed them both. He remembered nothing of last night. Only that he saw Jude with Harry and then a ton of drinks followed. He hated seeing her with him. He hated that he felt the way he did with her. It all happened the first day he helped her with Hockey. He noticed her beauty. Not just her appearance but the fact that she was so driven to do what she loved as best she could. That's what caught his eye.

When she admitted she liked this kid Harry, he hoped she was just saying that. But she seems happy around him. It wasn't like anything would happen anyways, she was too good for him. He was a jerk and she was too sweet. The thing that sucked the most was that he always had this weird feelings with Harry. No matter how nice of a guy he was, the look in his eye when he watched Jude seemed more like she was prey. It made him feel uneasy.

He sighed and moaned as he got up from the bed. He left the clean room behind and moved down stairs. Music played from the kitchen and as he moved it got louder. Voices were speaking but what they were saying wasn't clear. When he reached the end of the stairs, he saw Jude and Setha making food. Daniel sat at the bar and they all looked towards Luke.

"Good morning," Setha smiled.

"What time is it?" Luke didn't mean to sound too grumpy, he never did but it just came out like that.

"It's almost ten," Daniel answered.

"I'm surprised you're up so early," Setha giggled.

"Me too," he chuckled and moved to lean against the counter. "What happened last night?"

"Jude?" Setha looked to her friend. Jude hadn't looked at Luke at all yet and he was a bit nervous as to what she would say.

"You were shitfaced drunk last night and I had to take you home because you could barley even talk." Luke didn't remember a thing from last night, let alone Jude helping him but once she said something, he slightly remembered being next to her in a car. He felt that that was a dream though. He said some things too, but prayed that what he said was part of that dream.

"I'm sorry," he sighed. Jude said nothing to him after that and continued cooking. Luke continued, almost feeling sick when he said it, but his voice remained calm as the words came out. "Did you have to leave because of me?"

"Yeah," she nodded.

"I heard Harry was disappointed," Setha giggled. Luke tried not to roll his eyes.

"Who told you that?" Jude giggled.

"He texted me this morning," Daniel chuckled.

"About me?" Jude gawked. "To you?"

"Yeah," Setha smirked.

"You guys are so bullshitting me!" Jude laughed a little.

Daniel laughed, confirming they were kidding and it made Luke sigh of relief. "But he did text me. He wanted your number."

"Did you give it to him?" She asked, staring down at the food she made. The smell of pancakes filled the kitchen now.

"Of course he did!" Setha looked at her.

"How do you know?" Jude asked Setha.

"Because I was here before you even woke up girl," she explained.

"Well I'm gonna go," Luke scratched his head. He felt like shit and didn't want to be around Jude when she was talking about Harry.

"You're not gonna stay for breakfast?" Setha asked. "Pancakes help a nasty hang over and I'm counting on that right now." Setha pointed to her head and huffed a breath.

"Nah," Luke shrugged. "Thanks for uh... helping me out Jude."

"You're welcome," was all she said. She was acting weird with Luke and he couldn't figure out why.

-------------------------

"What was that all about?" Setha asked Jude. She didn't mean to sound that rude to Luke but she wasn't sure how to act at the moment. This whole thing has never happened to her before.

"I need to tell you guys something," Jude looked at both Daniel and Setha. "Last night when Luke was talking to me in the car, he wasn't making any sense. He kept saying I needed to tell someone something. When he finally spit it out, he said he wanted me to tell Jude that he thought she was beautiful."

Setha gasped and smiled. She put her hand at her chest and then pursed her lips.

"He kept saying that I was too good for him and that there would never be a chance between us because he's an asshole," Jude continued. She kinda smiled at that part.

"Why is this a big deal?" Daniel asked.

"Because!" both girls said at the same time.

"Is this like just a thing girls freak out over?" Daniel asked. They both looked at each other and Setha raised an eyebrow. "Unless!"

Jude looked back at Daniel who was putting the pieces together.

"You don't like Harry do you?" Daniel asked.

Jude just shook her head and tried not to smile.

"It was all such an accident!" Jude blurted out. "Ashton and Luke cornered me on who I had a crush on and I couldn't just say Luke because he was right there! I had to say someone else but I didn't think things would turn out like this!"

"This is an interesting pile of shit you got yourself in sis," Daniel smiled.

"The worst part is, oh God, I forgot to tell you this," Jude looked at Setha. "Harry asked me out on a date!"

"Harry thinks you like him too?" Setha gawked. "Well this just turned into something way more different."

"This was not supposed to happen," Jude huffed and flipped her pancakes.
