CH28-No Way Out

His laughter is as creepy as he is.

He finally comes out and smiles at us.

"That's my favorite part. You were a stubborn child weren't you Bella? And Liz always the hero." He says moving towards us.

"She's not even here." Bella says in realization. "Now what gave that away?" I say sarcastically. Earning myself a shove into the wall behind us. "Sorry. You know, but you girls really made it too easy." He says pushing Bella up too.

"So to make things more entertaining, I'm gonna make a little film of our time together." He says pulling away only slightly.

"I borrowed this from your house." He continues, pulling out our old cam-corder. "I hope you don't mind. Good. Anddd- action." He says moving away further to get both of us into frame.

Not gonna lie, this guy's starting to piss me off.

"This'll break Edward and Jasper's little hearts." He says.

"You have- Edward and Jasper have nothing to do with this!" Seems I'm not the only one getting angry.

James doesn't like the back talk and moves towards her but I get in his way. "But they do." He says slamming me back into the wall beside Bella.

"Oh their rage will make for more interesting sport than either of their feeble attempts to protect the two of you."

"And let's continue." He says releasing his grip on me. I see Bella move her hand slightly and realize what she's bringing out.

I think we're in way over our heads here but what the hell? We're already in this predicament, why not go down swinging?

She pulls it up and spray it in his face. She grabs my arm and pulls me with her and she runs for the door. We're halfway across the room when James comes flying above us.

Well that didn't phase him at all.

He drops down blocking our path.

He moves to push Bella but I shove her the opposite way causing her to fall to the floor. His attack going to me instead.

The force shoves me to the side to the point where I hit my head on the corner of one of the pillars in the room.

"Ah. Ow." I say holding my now throbbing head. I move my hand in front of me and see blood on it.

"Damn it." I mutter trying to sit up.

"Beautiful. Very visually dynamic. Nice sisterly love touch there. Taking the pain as it were." He says looking down at me with the recorder in hand still. He lowers himself to where I'm siting on the floor.

"I chose my stage well." He says grabbing my palm.

He growls seemingly trying to hold himself back. For now.. I try to pull my hand back but to no avail.

"It's too bad he didn't have the strength to turn you. Either of you." He says letting my hand go.

"Instead they kept you these fragile little humans. It's cruel, really." I glare at him as he stands up and rushes at Bells.

"No!" He presses on her leg.

I stand up shakily and rush at him. He, obviously being ready for an attack, shoves me away. The force pushes me all the way to the back wall. I feel my back crack against the building and slide to the floor.
