The next morning Bella and I get ready to go play baseball with our boyfriends' family.
Once I'm dressed I put my hair into a high pony and put on some natural looking makeup. Once I'm completely done I grab my jacket off my desk chair and head downstairs.
When I get downstairs Bella's already waiting near the kitchen for me. Once she sees me she tilts her head to the door and when I look over, I'm half surprised to see Edward and Jasper at said door waiting for us.
I turn back to Bella and she gestures towards the kitchen and I see Charlie messing with his hunting riffle. Perfect timing..
I walk into the kitchen and say, "Hey dad I have a date with Jasper today and Bella is coming along with Edward and he wants to meet you officially." I rip the bandaid off like it's nothing. "Is Jasper gonna come in and say hi? And Bella, he's a little old for ya, don't ya think?" To say that Charlie likes Jasper more than Edward is an understatement.
"No dad, he's a junior, I'm a junior. We're all juniors." She replies nervously. "I thought you liked the Cullen's?" She asks. "And I thought you didn't like any of the boys in town." Dad retorts.
"Edward doesn't live in town. Technically. Plus you like Jasper." Bella defends.
"Jasper came to talk to me before asking Liz out." He states pointedly.
Bells breaks up the direction in which the conversation was heading, "They're both right outside." Hearing this, dad takes in a breath of half relief half bored. "Alright," he cocks the riffle. "Bring em in."
"Come onnn." I drawl finding this whole situation unnecessary.
"Dad, could you be nice? Please? He's important." Bella says. Charlie does a gesture of a halo on his head then proceeds to stand to his full height.
I look to Bella and make my way out of the kitchen and to the door.
I open it and smile up at my boyfriend as he looks down at me in adoration. I move aside a little and he and Edward step inside.
Edward makes his way to the kitchen as I close the door. When it's closed I turn to see Jasper standing there with a smirk on his face.
He walks forward and I smile and walk backwards not even a few inches when my back hits the front door. Jasper and I are maybe a foot apart but our faces only inches from the other.
He leans down as I lean up and our lips connect in a quick yet passionate and sweet kiss. We pull back and Jasper leans his forehead on mine and I am breathing slightly heavy from lack of air. I move my forehead and so does he.
