CH30-𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓶..

We pull up to the venue and the boys drop us off.

Jasper, who was next to me in the back, helps me out of the car and around the vehicle to sit on a bench nearby. Edward opens the door for Bella to get out of the passenger side and she comes to down next to me.

The boys get back in the car and drive past us.

"Bella, Liz." We hear call our names.

Turning around, we see Jacob and Embry standing by a tree.

"Jacob. What are you guys doing here?" I ask looking at both boys dressed neatly for once.

"I came to talk to Bella real quick. Is it ok if I borrow her?" Bells looks back at me in question and I just give her a smile and light nod.

She gets up and her and Jacob walk away, leaving Embry with me.

"Nice." Embry says gesturing to the small sparkly dress I have on. "Yea, you too." I mention. "It's weird seeing you so dressed up." He says.

"Right back at ya. Are you crashing the prom or something? Where are your dates?" I ask with a sly smirk glancing around.

"Nah. Jacob wanted to see you and Bella and I was given an excuse to come see you." He says taking the now open seat next to me.

"That can't be all. What is it?" I ask knowing that there's a bigger reason why these boys decided to come see us.

"Uncle Billy asked us to come talk to you guys." He says looking down for a second then back up to my eyes.

"Just don't go all Beth on me ok?" I roll my eyes.

"Sure."

"He wants you and Bella to break up with the Cullens."

There's a tense silence.

"Honestly I don't know much about your boyfriend but Billy said, 'we'll be watching you'."

I give him a strange look. "I'm not sure how that's any of his business but tell him I said 'thanks for the warning'." I move to stand up but find it difficult.

"Here let me help-"

"Embry." Jasper's voice sounds from next to us. I look over and see him standing there glaring at the poor boy.

"I'll take it from here." He says moving next to me. He helps me stand up right and wraps his around around my waist. I watch as Bella and Jacob come out from the trees and Edward steps up next to my sister.

He gently pulls her closer.

"I guess we'll see you around." Jacob says looking between the two of us.

He backs away and Jasper and Edward lead us away from the boys.

"We leave you girls alone for two minutes and the wolves descend." Edward remarks causing Jas to scoff. "Edward James, it took two of you to park the car?" I ask raising an eyebrow. I feel Jasper tense at the name. Bella chuckles at my statement but it seems to fall on deaf ears where Edward is concerned.

"Probably shouldn't call him 'James' anymore huh?" Bella replies having sensed the tension from Jas. "Yea, probably not." I answer.

I look back at Embry and see they're gone.

I move to look back and make eye contact with Bella. She's looking between Jas and Edward with looks of confusion.

I wonder if Jacob brought it up to her too.

We make our way around to the front entrance of the venue and are lead on by a red carpet. "Vegas it is." I hear Bella mutter as we take in the decorations.
