Third Person's POV

The ground trembles beneath their feet. Screams, chakra flares, and the monstrous roar of the Ten-Tails echo in the distance.

Amidst the chaos-
(Y/n)'s body collapses.

Blood stains the earth, her chakra flickers... then disappears.

"NO!!!" Naruto's scream shatters the noise.

Neji is the first to reach her, skidding to his knees. His Byakugan activates immediately as his hands shake against her pulse point.

Nothing.

"She's not-she's not responding!" he chokes out, voice cracking as chakra surges desperately from his palms. "Dammit, (Y/n), breathe-!"

Tenten and Lee hover behind him, wide-eyed, paralyzed by shock.

And then-
a flash of black. A cold chakra arrives like a ghost.

Sasuke.

He appears beside them, wind and lightning crackling in his wake. His eyes land on her body.

He freezes.

"...No."
His voice is low. Disbelieving. The word sounds like it's meant to reverse time.

Neji's head snaps up, rage blooming in his chest.

"You don't get to say that."

Sasuke's fists clench. "What happened?"

Neji's eyes are wild with grief. "You happened."

He stands, leaving (Y/n) gently on the ground. His stance shifts into Gentle Fist form, eyes narrowed.

"You left her. You left us. She gave everything to keep you tethered to this world, and where the hell were you when she needed saving?!"

Sasuke's voice is tight. "I didn't tell her to follow me."

"And that's exactly why she did!" Neji snarls, chakra flaring. "Because she hoped there was something in you worth saving."

Neji lunges first-sharp, furious. Sasuke blocks, the clash sparking with fury and unresolved pain. The war vanishes around them-this is personal.

Neji's strikes come fast. "You think you're the only one who's ever lost something?! You think your pain justifies everything you've done?!"

Sasuke grits his teeth, parrying. "You think I wanted this? I never asked for her to care about me!"

"But she did."
Neji's voice trembles. "She loved you. And she died fighting for a future where you could still come back."

Sasuke staggers back-not from the hit, but from the words.

His eyes flicker. For just a second, the wall cracks.

He looks down at (Y/n)'s body again-bloodied, lifeless, unmoving. And for the first time, it's not just guilt in his expression.

It's clarity.

He sees it now. Her unwavering faith in him. Her late-night arguments with Naruto defending him. The tears she thought no one saw. The way she still smiled at him, even after everything.

And now, she's gone. Because of him.

Because of his choices.

"...She believed in something I never deserved," he whispers.

Neji lowers his arms, watching Sasuke with cautious fury.

"You're damn right."

The silence stretches between them like a blade.
