One year ago...

It had been a year since Naruto left the village with Jiraiya to begin his training.
A year since Sasuke abandoned everything he had known and chose his own path of revenge under Orochimaru.
At least... I thought he had finally stopped chasing after me.

After all, he already had Sasuke.
During this time, I focused on something I never expected to become so passionate about: medicine.

Under Yoshioka's guidance, I trained to create medical supplies and treatments that could help shinobi survive on the battlefield. Of course, I respected the traditional methods of this world, chakra pills had their own advantages, but I couldn't help but use the knowledge I had from my previous life.

That was how I created Chakra Bars.

Small changes could still make a difference.

My shift at Konoha Hospital was finally coming to an end when I heard someone call my name.

"(Y/N)!" I looked up and saw Neji standing near the office hallway, waiting for me.

Before I could even walk toward him, Yoshioka appeared beside me with the biggest grin on her face. "Your boyfriend is waiting for you."

I immediately turned toward her.
"Hey! He's not my boyfriend!"

I lightly smacked her arm, earning a laugh from her.

"Not yet?"

I rolled my eyes, but I couldn't stop the warmth spreading across my cheeks.

"Whatever. Bye!"

I grabbed my things for the mission and quickly walked away before she could tease me even more.

Neji was standing in the hallway, calm as always. He watched me approach before giving me a small smile. Together, we started walking.

"I wonder what our mission will be today," I said, looking ahead.

"Who knows?" Neji replied. "Hokage-sama only requested to see us."

We exited the hospital, walking through the familiar streets of Konoha.
It still felt strange sometimes.
