LAST CHAPTER

Two months had passed since the naming ceremony, and Amir and Laila had grown remarkably in such a short time. Each day seemed to bring new milestones—tiny giggles, cooing sounds, the sparkle of curiosity in their eyes as they explored the world around them. Their parents could hardly keep up with their growth, but each moment felt like a gift.

Munira stood in the living room, watching Hisham play with their twins. It was a sunny afternoon, and the warmth of the light seemed to highlight their little faces. Amir was sitting up in Hisham's lap, his chubby cheeks flushed with excitement as his father made funny faces, causing their son to giggle with delight. On the other hand, Laila was in her mother's arms, her dark hair shining as she smiled up at her dad with those familiar eyes.

It was almost uncanny—Laila looked exactly like Hisham. The same intense gaze, the same soft smile that melted hearts. And Amir, despite having her own features, had inherited his father's strong jawline, the sharpness in his features that made him look like a miniature version of Hisham.

Munira couldn't help but chuckle bitterly under her breath as she crossed her arms, pouting. "You know, it's like they've completely betrayed me."

Hisham looked up from his play with Amir, a confused look on his face. "What do you mean?"

"Look at them," Munira said, throwing her arms out toward the twins, who were now focused on their father. "They're both carbon copies of you. Even their smiles are yours! They've completely taken after you, and none of it is from me." Her voice was playful but tinged with mock jealousy. "I swear, I'm surrounded by your mini-me's."

Hisham laughed, walking over to her with Amir in his arms. He kissed Munira's forehead tenderly, before leaning down to press a kiss to her cheek. "Well, you know, they did spend a lot of time growing inside me. But I promise, there's plenty of you in them. And they'll need their mom for their heart and soul." He turned to Amir, who giggled and kicked his feet. "And just wait until they start talking—then you'll see who they really take after."

Munira narrowed her eyes playfully. "I'll still claim they're all yours."

Amir's bright eyes sparkled up at her, and she sighed dramatically. "Fine, fine. I guess they can take after you for now."

As she made her way to sit on the couch with Laila, Munira caught sight of Zayd and Asiya walking into the room. They were dressed up for their wedding dinner, and the evening's excitement was palpable. Asiya, glowing with joy, was radiant in a light gold dress, while Zayd looked dashing in a sharp suit. The couple was beaming, their hands intertwined as they greeted Munira and Hisham.

"Well, well, look at these little angels," Asiya said, glancing at the twins in Munira's arms. "They're growing up so fast already."

Zayd smirked. "I bet they look like Hisham. What do you think?"
