Freaks: 3rd Chapter

Episode 13: Freaks, Assemble!

- " Eva knew the right body to jump into, she chose a very strong vessel. A Hexer! I guess after she died, her Hex started fading.. maybe that's why I'm here and alive..? "

Karen, Makayla and Jesse were all so relieved, content and hopeful that Haydon was back. Still kendall needed someone to soothe her mind, because while the others were celebrating Haydons good health, she was still drowning in the darkest corners of her thoughts. The old man turned to her, he gently placed his hand on her shoulder, she suddenly stopped sobbing, raised her head, and looked him in the eye..

-" dont worry kid.. no ones hurting you, at least not on my watch! " the pupils of his eyes, were sharpened as he spoke his words, the comforting spirit of the guardian owl within him, calmed her anxiety and silenced the voices taunting her.

After welcoming their beloved winged shifter, karen invited the freaks to the kitchen where she made them some good old comfort food to celebrate with.

- " So.. the hexers, what are we supposed to do about them ?! " Makayla dared to ask.

- " Well, we cant decide anything without the two other select men, the Shadow walker and the raven.. Graham and Annabelle.. "

- " Hold on.. whos annabelle?! " Confusion was written all over Makaylas face.. Confusion, and spark of excitement..

- " The woman who Led you to us.. Anna Tashkanova! "

- " Shes a freak?! " Makayla yelled in surprise.

- " Last time i saw her.. she was " Haydon replied " She never told you? "

- " No, i guess she thought it was safer for me not to know.. " But even then, Makayla felt disappointed and misled by someone she thought was really close to her..

- " Now, ive heard that Graham has opened somekind of shelter for animals, not far from town.." Haydon announced to karen and the three teenagers.

- " Yeah, Me and .. Leon, we've been there. " Makayla filled him in.

- " thats great.. that means we can contact him? " Haydon asked.

- " technically.. " Karen replied.

- " I'll go talk to him. He knows me! " Makayla suggested.

The group agreed and thus Makayla started the engine and drove her car out of town, and to the isolated shelter.

Meanwhile, after Makayla left the mansion, Karen helped Haydon get back in bed, saying that his wound still needs time to fully heal, she gave him some pain killers and a pill to help him get some sleep. She then closed his bedroom door, and as she turned around to walk down the hallway, she bumped into someone. She backed away and looked at that person, expecting them to be someone she knew, like maybe kendall or Jesse wandering the halls of the mansion, but instead , she saw the face of a glowing corpse, standing there, immobile! Her enhanced instincts pushed her to unleash her inner ice witch: the tips or her fingers turned to spiky ice, her skin became cold and icy, her eyelashes and hair froze, and her eyes turned to crystal clear pupils. The living corpse suddenly put itself in an offensive mode, pushing itself towards karen quickly. Automatically, Karen summoned a sharp spike of ice and brutally stabbed the savage corpse with it, but the moment the spike penetrated the corpses flesh, the savage creature disappeared into glowing green ish dust. Karen stood there, not moving, surprised and sligthly scared of the thing she just saw. Moments after she made sure that the creature completely disappeared, she decided that it was best to go and warn the others, but as she took her first step down the staircase, the corspe appeared behind her, out of no where, and pushed her..!

After a while, Makayla reached her destination, she parked her car and entered the shop. The first face she recognised was that of the cat woman, talking to a newly married couple who are purchasing their first pet puppy..

- " hey, can we talk..?! " Makayla interrupted their conversation. The man and woman stared at Makayla annoyingly, as if shes done a great mistake.

- " Ugh, its you again.. " Kat welcomed her " what do you want now?! " She whispered.

- " I , must , see , graham! " makaylas tone was nothing but serious.

Kat, looked at the couple and told them to excuse her for a second, she then headed towards Grahams office, as makayla patiently waited. Moments after kat leaving, the woman standing next to her husband not far from makayla, started shaking, screaming and shouting uncomprehensive words. Scared, her husband panicked and rushed to hold her, but the woman viciously grabbed a screwdriver randomly lying on the counter and stabbed her husband with it, as she screamed. She then looked at Makayla with her green glowing eyes, and chanted some words causing Makayla to start chocking on NOTHING! the woman kept repeating the same words as she got closer and closer to makayla, she then whispered in her ear what follows..

- " Give us the girl! " with a crazy voice, then she backed away, took the screwdriver out of her husbands dead corpse and stabbed herself with it in the eye.

Seconds later, Graham and Kat barged out of the office, scared of the screams they had just heard. Makayla then looked at graham and said..
