Freaks: 3rd Chapter

Episode 7: Evil Cries.

- " Run Lizzy! Run! "

They both ran under the heavy rain, dodging the danger of who follows..

- " from here! " She pointed the direction they needed to run in. They kept running until they reached a sign saying " Welcome to Levington "..

- " Come on! " she yelled " were almost there! "

After hours of running, they reached town. Lizzy suggested that it would be safer for them to spend what's rest of the night in a motel someplace nearby, so they went and rented a room, for a night in a small motel few minutes away from town.

- " What do you think would have happened if they caught us?! "

- " Why the hell would you even think about such a thing?! Besides, I told, as long as I'm here, no one can ever hurt you! " They both lied on each of their beds.

- " And, I could've killed them all, if they hadn't shot me with the temporary vaccine! "

- " We agreed that there is no more killing from now on, we're starting over Eva! " the little Lizzy said.

- " Okay, little sis, we're starting over! " She smiled at her.

- " Eva..? "

- " What?  "

- " What do you think would happen to me if something happened to you. "

- " What do you mean? "

- " like, you're constantly jumping inside other people.. what if you got stuck and forgot about me?! "

- " Liz, you know that's not possible.. As long as I have my powers, I can get in and out of whomever in want.. you know that. "

- " but what if.. For whatever reason, you simply got stuck! "

- " then.. kill me! "

- " Makayla?! " he turned around and saw her heading in another direction. Too taken by the strong scent of a Freak nearby he looked back, and saw a young blonde girl, not more than 16 years old, but before saying anything to her, she came up too him and grabbed his hand violently, causing him to fall on his knees from the pain she was causing to his whole body generated by her powers..

- " Are you Jackson?! "

- " Yes- " He said with his voice barely heard.

- " Where's is she?! "

- " Whr- is who- ?! " he said in pain, kneeled on the ground.

- " Eva.. where is she?! "

- " In.. The m- "

- " Take me there, and only remember that you found and I agreed to help, and nothing other than that! "

- " As you wi- " She let him go. He fell down on the ground, and then gained balance again. He looked at the girl as he wiped the dust off of his clothes and simply said..

- " So shall we go?! "

- " Yes of course! " She gave him a fake innocent smile.

- " oh and by he the way.. " he stopped and turned around saying to her " you know what you gotta do?! "

- " yes ofcourse, get Nicki inside of Stacey's mind.. you told me that! " She lied. Her powers seemed to be alike of those of a psychic, it's like she knew everything that was going on, when she wasn't even there!

Afterwards, the couple went back to the car and with Makayla joining them, they all left to the mansion..

- " ... all clear?! " She said after a long explanation.

- " how do you know all of this?! " Nicki was surprised ; How can a 16 year old know about all of that?!

- " Uh, I read alot of books! "

- ".. " Nicki didn't say anything afterwards. Lizzy asked Karen to leave, saying that only the mind connectors and connected should be present inside the room.

Nicki lied on the bed next to Stacey's bed, and closed her eyes after taking the beta blockers to slow down her heart rate. She looked one last time at Stacey before falling asleep.. Lizzy then, grabbed her backpack, and took out a small hunting knife..

- " I'm too ashamed, to even look you in the eyes.. " tears rolled down her rosy cheeks.

- " you protected me for as long as I can remember.. and the only time you needed my help, I wasn't there for you.. I'm sorry. " She covered her mouth trying not to make any noise.

- " .. I'm sorry it had to end like this ; we had to end like this. " She took a deep breath.

- " you know what's ironic; I remember telling you once, that what if you forgot about me if you kept jumping inside stranger bodies.. Now, I can't even remember how you looked like when I met you. "

- " Doesn't matter anyway.. The second I got your message, I knew something was wrong, and well, my senses were true. I always thought you'll get yourself in deep waters with this Haydon guy.. "

- " Now look at you, lying in front of me, and that's not even you! "

- " Where are you Eva- " She cried on and on, until she finally looked at the hunting knife and said..

- " That's the hunting knife you gave me on my 14th birthday, you were so scared of leaving me and going to Levington, I remember you telling me when to use it, before I triggered my powers. You taught me so much " her visions were blurred by the tears filling her eyes " .. I'm gonna miss you sister! "

One final tear rolled down her face..
- " it's time for us to go our separate ways Eva! "

She held the knife up high and quickly plunged it inside Stacey's heart. She looked one last time at the body and said..

- " I promise you, i'll make them pay.. "

- " We.. will make them pay! "
