Freaks: 3rd Chapter

Episode 5: She's not alone.

Jackson waited in the car, for Makayla to get the beta blockers from the pharmacy and after she did, they drove to the other part of town, heading to Levington High,  in search for a Freak whose powers lie in the tricks of the mind; A Psychic..

Jackson parked the car in front of the main entrance of the school, where students were gathered to help with the Christmas decorations, since The holiday was few days away. Makayla and Jackson got out of the car and blended inside the crowd of teenage students searching for a psychic to help. Suddenly, Jackson stopped walking, Makayla had her eyes glued on him, she knew that he picked up the scent of a Freak nearby. But minutes later after they got separated in the crowd, Makayla lost Jackson's whereabouts, and felt as if someone was stalking her from behind. She turned around and saw a person wearing a black hoodie, standing not far away from her. This persom caught her attention, so she left the crowd and followed him to a deserted ally behind the school. She arrived to the silent ally to see a dozen hooded guys with a man wearing a long winter coat with a scar marking his face. beside him stood a woman who had blonde golden hair,and was wearing what looked like a tight leather jumpsuit with high heels, And a guy whose face looked pale and had a transparent sticky liquid dripping from his mouth, his skin was so white that it gave a glorious reflexion of the sunlight rays. But what intrigued Makayla the most, was the hooded guys guarding the trio..

- " You're easy to lead on.. " the guy with the scar announced.

- " Why are you stalking me?! "

- " you have something that belongs to us! "

She kept quiet before adding..

- " then guess you're gonna have have to come and get it yourselves! " she smiled.

Makayla felt threatened for a second, but trusting her inner Siren, she refused to run. The scarface gave the blonde standing aside him a sign, by tilting his head; She quickly understood that the head tilt was a sigm for the woman to attack her.

Makayla watched her moves carefully.. The blonde took a few steps towards Makayla, but she was still meters away from her. She stopped halfway in between the stalkers and Makayla, and gave her sassy smile followed by a wink, before looking at her hands. The following part confused Makayla the most.. The finger nails of the Blondie started getting taller taking an argent shimmering texture and a sharper pointy end, not only did her nails grow, in addition to that, Makayla noticed, what seemed to be Feline like ears, replacing her human ones, and the pupils inside her eyes got sharper and thinner, like the eyes of a cat. Finishing her transformation, the woman shook her back and a grayish furry tail, matching the fury on her skin, popped out of it.

Distracting Makayla with her weird Freakish traits, the Cat woman Hissed at her and quickly started sprinting towards Makayla preparing to attack. But fighting a Siren is not that easy of a job, Makayla pointed her hand at the running Lady, and in seconds she fell in agony, surrounded by the fatal sound waves Makayla filled her head with..

- " You wanna fight?! " She ironically threatened them while the Blonde girl screamed her off pain.

- " Let her go! " the scar face yelled.

- " tell me why did you lure me here and i'll free her "

- " She's not a Lunar! " The pale skinned guy whispered to the scar face, who seemed to be like a leader to the group of the black hooded stalkers. Makayla quickly let the the girl go, saying..

- " What did he say?! "

The guy seemed to to be confused as if his plans went in their wrong way..

- " Vanish! " He said,  and so all the hooded freaks disappeared letting behind them a dense mass of black smoke-like substance..

- " There has been a misunderstanding.. We're not here to fight! "

- " you Could've told me that before unleashing your little cat to rip my head out! "

- " That was before I knew that you're not  a Lunar! "

- " Yeah? And who are you? Lunar Freak hunters?! "

- " You can say that.. "

- " you said that I have something of yours.. What is it?! "

- " Eva.. We're here to kill Eva! "

- " oh believe me, we wanna kill that bitch more than you do.. Still, we can't, not yet! "

- " Why so? "

- " Long story.. My point is, our goals are the same- "

- " you realise what she's done.. don't you?! "

- " She killed the Elanoar family! "

- " Yes, but that's in the past.. do you know what's she's preparing for,  in our present day?! "

Makayla felt confused, due to her lack of update on Eva's actions..

- " She has a goddamn army of Lunars, running around & killing what's left of the humans in this town! She wants this town, all to herself " the cat woman answered, as she gained balance again..

- " She's not alone! " She whispered to herself " That's what it meant!.. holy shit, I have to tell the others! "

Makayla turned around and started running towards the car where Jackson was standing beside a younger girl, trying to call someone..

- " Get in the car! " She said rushing inside of it.

- " where the hell were you?! I've been trying to call you for half an hour! " he said closing the car door.

- " Start the car now! We need to get to the mansion right now!! " She panicked.

- " What the hell is going on makayla?! "

- " She's not alone.. Eva is not alone, No! She has a Freaking army! "
