"Savannah!" My mother's voice bounced on the walls, which in return, woke me up. I bite back a yawn as I roll over to the other side of my bed.

It had been less than twenty-four hours since I move into this new house of mine. It was the first night of full rest I had in a long time, not one death dream or memory, or nightmare...just nothingness. It actually quite was nice.

But that also could be because of this time difference, and it really messing up my senses, it was probably three o'clock to my old friends.

"I'm sleeping!" I whined back, not really sure she could hear me on the second level of this house. I assumed she did when she answered me back without missing a beat.

"It's one in the afternoon. Get up!" She demanded, I tried twisting back into my sleep position. There was wasn't anything I could do at this point, I was already wake as it is.

"Alright, I'm coming!" I growled back loudly, climbing out of my sheets onto the hard wood floor. Shivers crawled on my arms and legs, this room felt so uncomfortable...

I shrugged at the thought of this even being a haunted place, I made sure my parents wouldn't buy a place like that after watching so many ghost hunting shows.

Hey, I said I didn't watch horror movies, never anything about reality ghost hunting TV shows. What? It's knowledgeable...

After getting up off the actually bed, I started to pluck off my PJ's one by one and replaced them with the clothes I'd be wearing for today.

As I put on my tank top and shorts, I rush out of the door and down the staircase, one foot at a time. "I'm sorry mom, you know the time difference really messes me-" I'm not even half way down the stairs, and I'm already frozen. Standing there was my mother, a wide smile on her face, as she looked at me. "What did you do this time." This wasn't a question, it was a statement.

"Oh honey," she starts, clapping her hands together. "The neighbors came over to welcome us, isn't that wonderful?" she smiled. What? Why is she getting so excited because of—

Oh, wait, I knew where this was going, "One of them is my age." I concluded out loud, placing a hand on my forehead for being so stupid as to think this wasn't going to happen.

"They're in the backyard now," She continued excitedly, taking a step towards me. "Two girl...two of them!" I just rolled my eyes, then stared turning around and heading back to my room. "Hey, where are you going?!"

"Don't worry mom, I'm just going to be right back." I reassured her, but it was a total lie.

"Oh no you don't, your brother and sister already pulled that one!" She grabbed my wrist before I could even think of moving.
