If you are going to marry someone, let it be someone you're ever sure will fulfill you till your days are over—after God obviously.
Oren couldn't get over that night.
He wasn't sure Olivia could too, for he'd caught her more than an uncountable number of times ogling at the diamond that sat on her hand.
Even then, as he watched her he couldn't hold back his laughter.
He'd won in life.
That night would be his last night on tour. He was finishing it in Las Vegas, specifically in honor of Jaden's twin sister Jael.
Olivia hadn't known but the whole family was on their way to Las Vegas right then. She didn't know they knew and he'd thought it best to keep it that way.
That and another surprise he'd deliberately withheld until this moment, when they were certain.
"Aw, you're the lucky woman??" An excited voice got his attention.
Two elderly women stood before her.
"Congratulations!"
He saw her nod, her eyes glancing to him before she blushed.
He was called into the dressing room so he mouthed to him that he'd meet her later.
"Congratulations Mr Carnrow" a familiar voice made him shift his gaze from his reflection to Richie's that now stood by the door.
"Hey, thanks brother"
He came closer, his smile broadening.
He'd known Richard Hurst for a little time but their friendship tightened faster. He was a young Nigerian man on fire for God, with a wonderful voice and the will to lift spirits all around the world.
Just like God always did, the fame of him grew far and wide really fast.
"It's good you'll be getting married before me, I'll need a fireful prayer bash from yours truly " he joked
Oren laughed.
They prayed briefly and it was show time.
Someone informed them of his people's presence and he had him lead them to their reserved seats. He wasn't even done when Olivia ran towards them, eyes wide
"Lara just texted. She says she's here with my mum and dad and Summer!"
Her excitement was contagious he couldn't stop laughing.
"Why are you laughing?? Wait, did you know this?" She quickly narrowed her gaze
"I did... I'm sorry. It was supposed to be a surprise." He held her hands gently. She scowled, but it quickly faded as her eyes softened with something tender—something intimate.
With a bright smile, he pulled her close, savoring every second. In no time, she would officially be his—oh, he couldn’t wait.
Her arms looped around his neck, eyes shimmering beneath the soft lights. In moments like this, when their gaze locked and the world hushed, time blurred into infinity. Everything else faded into nothingness. Their breaths were rushed, their heartbeats in sync, swaying to a melody only they could hear.
This was deep.
It was love at its purest.
"Your surprise?" Her voice brought him back from his reverie. He blinked once, a nervous chuckle escaping his lips.
