Authors note- this is the last chapter before the epilogue. Get ready my young friends.~~~~~~~~~

I run till I can't stop, so I was running for quite awhile. Every now and then Maggie and Alex would creep into my head. I had to push them out. But it wouldn't work, they somehow kept coming back into my mind. Maggie's screaming, Alex's last words, it was all too much. But I am determined not to end up like Alex. As bad as that last sentence was it's true. But not just with the suicide. She was a ruthless killer who wouldn't even think twice before killing someone.

Lets make a list of who she killed

Adonis

Rdawg

Olivia

Corbin

Madison

Clarissa

Lily

Maggie

That list is 8 people too long. I mean granted lily and Clarissa could still be alive but I doubt it. Lets just say lily isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer if you know what I mean.

My pace slows down to a slow jog. My sleep last night was terrible; filled with nightmares. I need to get over everything though. I have a whole life ahead of me. Being reminded of the past is torcher. I'm going to sound like a hypocrite but I'm still sticking to Alex's plan from the beginning. Survival.

I sit against the wall pullingh out a knife. If I don't die from a zombie I'm going to die from starvation. Alex and Maggie would catch the food so I need to practice. I take the knife and place it in my left hand, brushing the blade along my finger tips. I call Alex a ruthless killer, but in all reality, I am too. The knife isn't all that big. Five inches in length at the most but still enough to give me a decent meal that could last me for days. I arch my arm back and throw the knife. Hitting my exact target; the other wall. I right hand wincing from the movement in my other arm. Oh yeah, I have a broken wrist.

I pull some grass from the ground and pull out my water bottle. The scarcity in my water making this task very important since I cannot do it twice. I pour some water on my wrist and drop the grass on it, hoping it will stick. It doesn't. My plan failed meaning I wasted water. I get up, throwing my bags under my feet. Carefully stepping on the to lift my body upwards, trying to get a glimpse of what is behind the wall. I see a zombie off in the distance, but it's not moving slow. It's moving human rate. I decide to gather up enough bravery and call out to see if it is in fact a human.

"Hello? Are you a human?

I state nonchalantly.

The thing looks my way and starts running, waving her arms giving me the okay that it is infact human. The closer it gets I can make out a figure. Bright blonde hair, iridescent green eyes, torn up clothes. She was definitely a human.

She nods her head and runs closer, holding her arms out for me to grab her. As I look farther in the distance I see a zombie pack forming. Zombies coming from all directions towards the girl who is flailing her arms and screaming. As she is nearing the wall I hold out my hands ready to grab her, she grabs my hands and yanks hard, pushing me over the edge of the wall.

"What the heck is wrong withyou!" I scream, trying to climb back up the wall. I pull my body up but she grabs onto my feet pulling me back down. The zombies are coming closer. Moans getting louder.

I use all my strength trying to get back up this wall. This crazy girl keeps pulling me down. I lift my arm up so it is above the wall, I pull my body upwards, the girl grabs my leg and pulls me down. Moans getting louder. The shuffling of uneven steps becoming more noticeable.
