//Connor's POV//
"What should we do today?" Zoe asks after spending 30 minutes in the bathroom doing her hair and make up.
"It doesn't really matter to me, any ideas?" I say, watching as she plops down onto the couch next to me.
"Let's invite Joey over," Zoe suggests, "then we can also go out shopping for more clothes!" She smiles with excitement.
It was stereotypical but I always enjoyed shopping with Zoe. We would laugh at how weird a piece of clothing looked. Cheered when the other wore a cute outfit. And like usual stared at any hot bodies that passed by.
"Yes! What do you guys think?" I turn to Alfie and Troye who are silently sitting on there phones.
"Okay, lets do it." Alfie says, hardly as excited as Zoe and I were seconds ago.
We all turn our heads to Troye, I know he had heard because I saw him look at us when Zoe made the suggestion. "Troye? How does that sound?" I ask, hoping that he would agree. I really wanted to hang outside with him today, not just stuck inside the house.
"Yeah sure." He shrugs. Its quite weird actually, I had always had a feeling that he hadn't liked Joey. But I was never sure why. Its just the way he would excuse himself from something when Joey came. Or how his sassiness certainly showed when we were in a group with Joey. I don't know, maybe I'm thinking to much about it.
"Okay. I'll call Joey." I brush the previously stated thought away. Joey had been visiting his grandparents for the summer so he must only be half an hour away.
I walk out of the room leaving a excited Zoe, a casual Alfie and a not-sure-what-emotion Troye, alone.
After I had called Joey, we had all just sat in the living room hanging out. Troye being especially quite besides the random clicking of his laptop.
I excuse my self from the conversation I was having with Zoe and Alfie about our thoughts on Crocs shoes. I stand up quickly looking at Troye, nodding for him to meet me in the kitchen. His eyebrows furrow in confusion but still follow me anyway.
I pace back in forth in the kitchen tiles, thinking about what I will day to him. I want to ask him whats wrong, if I had done something, if he thinks it was a mistake telling me he was gay last night and that he wasn't ready. "Con?" He pops into the room.
"Why do you hate Joey?" I ask quickly, not going through with my plan.
"I uh- what?" He stutters. I can't tell if he was just completely thrown of by my question or if he didn't like Joey so he didn't know how to answer.
"Any time he comes over, you are cold to him." I start to state my case. "And you have hardly said five words since I've invited him over."
A lot of people don't understand my 'relationship' with Joey. Anytime we go out we are confused for being a couple, but its actually not like that at all. Yes we flirt with each other like all the time but that's just how our friendship word. I would never see Joey as anything other that a friend, and I know he feels the same about me.
"I don't hate Joey, that's ridiculous." He doesn't look at me in the eyes, instead staring at the fridge behind me.
"Troye, seriously wha-" I am cut off by a knock at the door.
Seconds later I hear the a loud and familiar voice, who is definitely not Joey, yelling the words "OH Hey!"
I rush out of the kitchen to see the most awkward scene ever. "Connor, guess who saw Joey and decided to tag along on our day?" Zoe looks to me with the huge eyes and the biggest and fakest smile I have ever seen. Joey scratching the back of his neck, probably preparing for my wrath.
"Tilly?" Troyes voice sounds from behind me.
"Troye Sivan!" Tyler quickly walks past me, hugging my Tr- I mean Troye. Just Troye. When they are done having there small reunion, my ex-friend turns to me. "Hey Connor! How've ya been?"
"Tyler." I nod to him before pacing quickly over to a now terrified Joey. I grab his arm and pull him into the spot I had previously been with Troye. "What the hell Joey!" I whisper yell to my close friend, quite enough so the others can't hear.
"I'm sorry. I saw him at the store when I got your call and he said he hasn't seem Troye and Zoe and Alfie and you in forever so I just told him to get in the car because he can be so persuasive and-" Joey had began to ramble nonsense so I interrupted him by placing my hand over his month.
"Calm down! I'm not mad I just wish you would have gave me a warning or something." I slowly remove my hand away from him so he can breathe properly. He nods in understandment before we both exit to go spend a awkward day out in the town.
