Damon pov

Kate touched me and I felt a zap but then it disappeared. I opened my eyes to Kate touching me and Bella having her eyes closed in concentration. Kate pulled back and I hugged Bella. "it worked love " I whispered in her ear and kissed her earlobe. She smiled and pushed back into me. "it worked " she squealed and rushed to hug Klaus and Elijah who were watching.
The next few days we're spent in preparing for the upcoming war. Bella's shield had considerably improved.
Today was the day of the battle. We gathered for the battle at the open field. Bella stretched her shield around us all.
Soon we saw the enemy. The New borns were driven by blood lust and out of control. They lunged at us signalling the start of the battle.
( skipping the battle... Imagine the one in eclipse with certain changes. I don't know how to explain those sequences. )

Klaus pov
The battle was over before long. All the New borns were killed. Victoria stepped out with someone I never thought I would see again. "mother" me and my siblings gasped.
"yes it is me. I created u. So I will end you. I cannot let abominations like u to survive any longer. " she sneered. Bella growled and stepped in front of me and Elijah. "how dare u call them abominations. I agree they have done some bad things but who hasn't? Not even u, the great Esther are pure. U created vampires. We have adapted to our lifestyles. U can't just kill us. U r the one who subjected us to this. So anyone dies, it will be you. " she snarled and glancing at Jane and zafrina nodded. Esther slumped on the ground in pain. Benjamin struck lightening on her and Bonnie uttered some spell. Esther's eyes widened. "no" she screamed. And collapsed dead. "what did u do?" Victoria screeched and a figure came flying at the ground in front of us.

Damon pov

I stared at the woman who caused me pain for the past 145 years. The girl because of which me and my brother hated each other.
Bella glanced at Emmett and the cullens and they nodded and lunged at Victoria quickly ending her. Bella grabbed her by the head and picked her up. "u have caused a lot of pain to my mate and his brother. But mostly u hurt my family, my sister and I don't take to that lightly. She looked towards Klaus and me and Elijah with a raised eyebrow and threw Katherine at Elena's feet. Elena grabbed her and put the stake through Katherine's heart ending her. Bella immediately withdrew her shield and snuggled upto us as we checked her for injuries.
All was finally well.
