10. Giving Up

Luke's p.o.v

Since yesterday all they've gaved me is water.

I'm sick of these walls and the nasty smell inside of here.

I see the door swing open revealing Aurora in some tight black clothes.

"I'm happy to tell you that I got rid of your sister." She couldn't be saying the truth. My sister can't be dead.

"Fuck you! Why the hell did you kill her you fucking whore!" I run to Aurora and I grab her by the neck suffocating her.

A pair of men come in and pull me away from her.

Thy start to kick me in my stomach. I try to stand up to fight back, but I'm pinned down to the floor. The pain starts to spread all over my body. I start to feel numb due to the pain. Eventually they stop and they leave.

I start to think about all the beautiful times I had with my little sister.

We were only one year apart, but she meant everything to me. And now that she's dead, I really lost everything. I lost my baby sister. I lost the girl that really kept me together. And now that's she is gone I feel lost. There really is nothing to live for.

I curl up in a ball and start to cry. I would give my life for her life.

"Its all my fault." I whisper as I cry uncontrollably.

Ashley's p.o.v

-three days later-

When I wake up I'm greeted with a huge headache and pain in my stomach.

I look around and I realize I'm in a hospital. The white walls making me feel uneasy.

When I slowly turn my head I see Calum sleeping in a chair. He looks terribly tired and his eyes are puffed out.

"Calum." I say as I shake his arm a bit. His eyes fly open.

"Ashley baby! Oh lord thank god your alive!"

"I am? I think I'm dead. You look fucked up." I playfully say.

"Shut up. I've been so worried for you." Calum them presses his lips to my forehead making me feel butterflies as he always does.

The doctor came by and checked on me.

I was asleep for three days and my wound is healing quickly. I will be leaving tonight and I'm glad I hate hospitals.

-Five hours later-

Going back to Calum's house was good to me.

"Where are the boys at?" I ask as Calum drives.

"I don't know." Calum answers.

"Surprise! Welcome back!" The boys scream as I enter the house. I jump back and start to laugh.

"Good one. I missed you boys." I say as they embrace me in a hug.

After a couple of hours the boys started to talk about their plan.

It looked like they all got it figured out. The only thing is that they didn't tell me where my mom was at.

"The guns will come in two days from today." Michaels says.

"Guys this is not a good idea." I finally speak up.

"Ashley you won't be going by the way." Calum says.

"Fuck what? No I'm going I need to go! You know I have to go!" The boys extange looks.

"Calum she's right she has to go." Calum rolls his eyes. He knows I'm right.

"Fine." I knew Calum was trying to protect me, but it wasn't the time for that.

I felt my phone vibrate.

I took out and I saw three voice messages on my notification tray.

"I'll be back." I say as I head out to the kitchen.

'This is Aurora. Wanted to tell you to say goodbye to Luke. In three days we will be killing him. I know you are not dead. I got you on track Ashley.'

'Ashley baby girl. I miss you so much. Please don't come stay home safe with Calum. I'm so sorry. I love you Ashley. I really do. Please stay home. Don't forget me please. I love yo-'

'Say goodbye to him. There are no chances for you to safe him.'

By the end of all the messages I'm left in tears.

I wanted to scream out.

I wanted all of this to be a dream.

I smashed my phone in the counter.

I really wanted this to be a dream.

I missed Luke so much.

I then feel Calum's arms around me. I crash my face into his bare chest.

I'm giving up on everything.

I can't do it no more.

My mother, my own mother has crashed me down.

I can't fight anymore.

"Ashley. Don't give up. Don't give up. Please." Calum whispers as he holds me close to his chest.

I know i shouldn't give up now, but why fight when at the end of all of this I'm eventually going to die?
