Chapter twenty three

Rachel POV
After yesterday we all went home. Finn held me all night long as I cried. Right now it's morning, I decided I'm going to go down to the police station with Finn. Quinn and puck are going to watch Chris. I'm walking down the stairs when I see a note.
I have our child and I'm coming to get you
I showed Finn as I put a hand over my mouth.

"i think I know who this is" I say
"Rach we need to show this to the police" Finn said grabbing the paper
"Let's go, you drive and I'll call the detective"
----
We arrive at the presinct,
"We're looking for detective Olivia" I say walking in to see a bunch of cops working
"What is it Rachel?" She says walking toward me
"I think I know who kidnapped my babies" I say determined
"She also received this in the mail" Finn said handing her the paper
"Rachel we have a suspect too, but turns out there were two perps" Olivia responded
"What?" Finn asks
"I thought it was just sam" I tell Finn
"Is that who your suspect is, sam?" Finn asks
"Yes, but do you have any idea who else could've been helping him?" She asks

I think for a moment,

"Wait! Finn it's Mackenzie, the other perp is her!" I say
"Whose Mackenzie?" Olivia asks motioning us to a room
"She's this lady who likes me a little too much" Finn responds sitting down with me
"Can you find them, and arrest them?" I ask hopeful
"There's not enough evidence to arrest them, but we can question them" Olivia tells us
"Please, find our babies" Finn pleads
"I know it's them, so go look for them! He's crazy is that enough evidence for you!??" I tell her frustrated that I come here and it's no help
"Rach, calm down there doing everything they can to help us" Finn told me
"Ok! I'm sorry I just want my babies back" I say on the verge of crying

Finn holds my hand and squeezes it in comfort. I smile back at him because he's the best fiancé ever.

"Why do you think sam is behind this" Olivia asks
"Because, he threatened me when I was pregnant, said it was our baby, and that we belong together or something like that " I told her
"Yeah, that little bastard, almost hurt her and the babies" Finn yelled

I held onto his hand

"That's why we took out a restraining order" I say

A detective comes in and says

"Olivia we got something" the other cop said

She gets out to see what it is, then Finn and I get up

"What is it? Did you find them?" I ask following her

"Rachel, Finn I need you both to go home and let us handle this"  Olivia said motions for us to leave

"No you found some news, now tell us" I said persistent
"I can't discuss the case with you" she said apologetic
"Please Olivia, we need to find our babies" Finn pleaded
"I'm sorry" Olivia said walking away

I looked at Finn and we walked back to the car.

"I want to go see sam" I tell Finn as we buckle up

"Rach, are you crazy, you heard detective Olivia, we have to let them handle it, plus we don't know where he lives" Finn argued

"Fine then I'll call him so we can meet up, I need to know if he knows where our babies are" I plead

"No rach, let the cops do their job" Finn stated

"But.." I said "No" he but in

"Fine" I say giving in

Rachel POV
We park I'm the driveway, only to see cop cars everywhere, I run out as well as Finn.
I see Quinn holding Beth as they examine them both Chris is with detective Elliot as they check him, detective Olivia comes up to us

"What happened??"I ask as Finn holds me close
"As soon as you left we got a call from this house, Rachel, Finn, someone pointed a gun at Chris" she said as calmly as she could
"What??" Finn yelled

I put a hand over my mouth I cried a little

"Is-s he ok?"I ask as my vice breaks a little

"Barely, your friend Noah Puckerman took the bullet, but he confirmed it was sam and a women named Mackenzie" Olivia said

"I told you, why didn't you listen to us!" I yell at her

"I know I'm sorry, but is there anywhere safe you can place Chris while we investigate" Olivia asks

I look at Finn who looks mad

"What about in Lima with your mom?" I ask Finn
"I guess he'd be safe there" Finn grunted
"Ok, Rachel I think you should go with him too" Olivia said

Finn holds me tighter, I widen my eyes

"What no!" I say gripping Finn
"Rachel, there after you, he left another note with a picture attached, Sam's stalking you" Olivia told me
"No, I'm not leaving Finn" I demanded

Finn looks down at me, his face softening

"Rach, it's better if you go with Chris if he's stalking you" Finn says
"What about you? I can't just leave you here" I tell him
"I rather be alone for a couple days then have something bad happen to you" Finn told me, I kissed him on the lips

"I love you" I told him
"I love you" Finn replied

Then Olivia dragged me away to get Chris and start packing

"Chris" I yell he runs up to me with tears in his eyes
"Momma! Sam came and he was going to shoot me" Chris says crying harder
"I know baby, but I won't let that happen" I say kissing his head

He pulls away

"Where's daddy, and Sabrina and Leo?" Chris asks crying
"Daddy's over there" I point to Finn who starts walking to us

Finn picks up Chris

"Hey buddy, you ok?" Finn asks
"NO! Uncle puck got shot by sam!" Chris cries
"It's not your fault baby" I say stroking his hair
"Yes it is, the blonde lady said so!" Chris whines

Chris grips tighter to Finn and Finn hugs me so that were all hugging. Chris sees me in the group hug and grabs me too. We all just hug until Olivia says

"Rachel, it's time to go"

I let go of Finn and kiss him with all my passion and he returns the love. Then I bend down

"Chris were going to go stay with nana Carole ok?" I tell Chris he just nods and hugs Finn tightly I just bite my lip to prevent from letting out sobs.

"Come On Chris" I say holding his hand

"No! I want daddy to come!" Chris yells
"It has to be just you and mommy, buddy" Finn says in tears
"NO!!" Chris screams

Finn pulls him off while crying even more and he walks away to the detectives. Chris cries even harder, I'm crying now but I pick up Chris and drag him to wear Quinn holding Beth and our suitcases await. The whole time Chris cries yelling "DADDY PLEASE!!! DONT LEAVE ME! THEY AlREADY TOOK LEO AND SABRINA!!!! PLEASE" he cried out waiting for a response. Chris crying out broke my heart. I can't believe how sam is ripping apart our family. I want him to die.
