Chapter twenty two

*the detectives(those of you who watch the show know who they are;)
Rachel POV
I was crying my eyes out when two detectives came to me. I was holding Chris and everyone was being questioned including Quinn, Beth, Santana, and Britney.

"Hey Rachel, I'm detective Olivia benson and this is my partner detective Elliot stabler" the women detective said
"Hello detectives" I manage to say through the tears
"Do you have badges that'll find my baby brother and sister" Chris asked
"Yea, wanna see" detective Elliot said bending down showing him the badge

Detective Olivia pulled me away, while detective Elliot chatted away with Chris, then I remembered Finn, I haven't told him

"I need to call my fiancé" I said while the tears still poured
"Is he the father?" She asked calmly
"Yes" I said
"Ok, just hold on, I need to ask you some questions first ok?" She asked
"Can't I call my fiancé first?" I asked crying, dying to have Finn wake me up from this horrible nightmare
"Listen Rachel, I know this is hard but you have to answer the questions" detective Olivia said soothingly
"Ok, what do you want to know" I say, the faster I get the questions, the faster they find the twins
Olivia nods
"What were the babies wearing?" She asked with a notepad out
"Um.. Sabrina had a pink onesie"
I said trying to remember the best that I could
"and Leo had blue onesie, both had matching white beanies"
I said finishing with tears flowing out even more trying to recall what they were wearing

"Ok, what were you doing when they went missing" Olivia asked

I gripped my mouth and looked at the sky, because I'm so ashamed I wasn't watching my babies

"I-I was, um arguing with, a-a mom....on the playground" I said stuttering and my voice and then bursting into sobs while saying the last part crying

"Rachel it's not your fault, you were with your other son" detective Olivia said assuringly,
I glance at Chris who's talking with detective Elliot, I put my hand across my eyes and continue sobbing
"What am i suppose to tell Chris?" I ask with my hands still covering my eyes
"Rachel do you have any idea who would want to do this?" Olivia asks

I think for a moment but I'm too overcome with grief to think. I just want Finn to hold me in his arms and tell me everything's going to be ok, but it's not.

"Um...I don't know?" I say frustrated with myself and still crying

"Alright here's my card, call me if you think of anything" she says handing me a card

I just nod my head and go to pick up Chris. I turned around and saw Finn running toward us. A police officer stopped him before he could enter, I run with Chris in my arms.

"Finn!" I cry
"Daddy!" Chris yells as well

The police let's him pass

"I came as soon as Santana called me, what happened?" Finn asked almost crying
"I don't know!" I said crying "I went to check on Chris leaving Quinn with the twins and I come back and she's on the grass lying beat up and the twins are gone!" I cry

Finn just opens his arms toward us and Chris and I run to hug him. I cry into his chest while he rubs my back saying, "it's ok, we're going to find them" I just cry while Chris holds onto me and Finn tightly.
