I woke the next morning not really sure where i was but not really caring because the bed was so God damn comfortable. I nestled my head further into the pillows moaning contently, I moved onto my side stretching my arms which where met with a very beautiful sleeping Cara. The morning light reflected off her features, her bodily messily covered by the warm sheets. As i moved closer to her, my arms wrapping around her waist, her body melted into mine as she continued to dream. My hand instinctively swept away a loose strand of hair from her face making sure she didn't wake up. Watching her sleep made my eye lids drop as i fell back into content sleep.

I was sitting on the sofa in my apartment. Amy had just drifted to sleep, she was dribbling slightly but i knew from experience that i probably shouldn't put my hand near her face because she had the reflexes of a rabid Rottweiler and i didn't feel like getting bit, not after this much alcohol. I was perfectly relaxed and after such a crappy day of signing paper work i was glad to have a relative amount of peace, i mean that is if you ignore the pounding music, high pitch screams of laughter and some couple who really needed to learn to kiss quietly. After Amy's outburst a couple of minutes ago i had pretty much concluded that she was the worst wing-women of all time, i knew i should have stopped Ryan from falling asleep and drinking all my Vodka, but i think the hangover he'd  be feeling tomorrow would be punishment enough.

After five minutes of staring at a passed out Ryan who was with every passing second sliding closer and closer to the floor, my very confused brain found it completely fascinating and so i just sat there like a child with a huge smirk on my face and if i wasn't as drunk as i was i would have noticed Cara watching me closely from the other side of my apartment, i also would have slapped myself, because what grown ass women giggles as they watch their friend slide off a couch? Once Ryan had fully descended to the hard wood floor, i was no longer amused if anything i was incredibly thirsty. My mind slightly fuzzy i clambered off the couch and was actually incredibly proud of myself for not falling over and hurting myself or you know...dying. I flattened out my shirt and took a few tentative steps towards the kitchen, only when my feet became fully awake did i look up and was met with the most magnificent thing i had ever seen, and no it was not a bottle of water. Cara was laughing at something one of her friends said, the way the side of her mouth creased as she laughed and among all the noise that was the only thing i could hear and it melted my heart.

I woke up once again by the same divine noise i heard the first day we met. I rolled over a couple  of times forcing myself to properly wake up, and it actually worked that time because on about the third roll i tipped a little to far and landed on the floor, i would have been embarrassed but at this point in life i can always remember something worse that I've done. I stood up and wrapped the sheets tightly around my body as i shuffled around the room searching for all my clothes that had been ripped from my body the night before. After finding my underwear, jeans and shirt i gave up on my search and placed the sheets back on the bed before making my way towards Cara's light singing voice which was now echoing though out the apartment. Butterflies were released from within the pit of my stomach as i made it to the kitchen. She was standing over the stove making pancakes, she hadn't bothered to get fully dressed either because she was wearing an oversize baseball shirt that covered to halfway down her thighs, she didn't have trousers on but she had places a navy beanie atop her head. Her hair was a bit knotted but even with that she looked breathtaking. I lent against the door frame and watched as she sang into a her spatula microphone in time with the voices on the radio, in between verses she would flip a pancake or two.

When you fall asleep with your head upon my shoulder.
When you're in my arms but you've gone somewhere deeper.

Are you going to age with grace?
Are you going to age without mistakes?
Are you going to age with grace,
Or only to wake and hide your face?

When oblivion is calling out your name,
You always take it further than I ever can.

When you play it hard, and I try to follow you there.
It's not about control but I turn back when I see where you go.

Are you going to age with grace?
Are you going to leave a path to trace?

But oblivion is calling out your name,
You always take it further than I ever can.

When oh oblivion is calling out your name,
You always take it further than I ever can.

When the song ended she turned around plates in hand and was met by my amused gaze. I couldn't help but laugh, not at her but at the fact that a day ago even with all of my creative ability never would i have imagined that this would happened. Cara rolled her eyes.

"This was supposed to be a surprise! What do you think your doing?" She joked moving closer to me. I took the plates from her and placed them safety on the side of the counter.

"I'm sorry but you just looked so damn cute, and you were singing pretty loudly, how am i supposed  to seep with that racket going on?" I laughed again as she tackled me to the ground, still laughing she connected her lips to mine in a soft kiss.

"What was that for?" I asked playfully.

"You looked pretty cute too." She whispered our faces an inch apart. She bit her bottom lip sexily and moved her face even closer to mine just as the someone knocked pointedly on Cara's front door. At that i slid quickly from under her, giving her a quick peck on the cheek before scrambling to the front door like the child i am.

"I got it!" I shouted to the kitchen as Cara groaned and murmured something under her breath. I got to the door and flattered out my hair before whipping open the door enthusiastically. Amy stood in front of me and she looked anything but happy.

"Amy! Hey, what ya doin'?" Unable to stifle my own good mood.

"Where is she?" Amy asked pushing past me roughly into the apartment. Uttering a string of curses following her quickly whilst seriously considering knocking her out with something heavy.

"Who? Who? Who are you talking about?" I asked innocently as i jumped in front of her blocking her path.

"What are you Owl from Winnie the pooh? Where is she?" Amy looked around frantically and every part of me wished Cara had suddenly become deaf and couldn't hear any of this happening from the kitchen. I put my hands on her shoulders topping her from moving anymore.

"What are you doing here?" I whisper screamed.

"Gavin, the bartender from last night told me you went home with a girl that had blue eyes and brown-ish blonde hair. He also said you were speechless when she talked to you, who else would it be then Cara? So where is she?" Once again i was pushed aside and ignored, i was starting to take it personally. Cara wandered in from the kitchen licking a spoon that was covered in Nutella, still humming.

"Hey Jess, your pancakes are getting cold and we still need to pick up where we left off earlier." Her voice dripped with sexiness and no matter how great it sounded i knew Amy wouldn't see it that way. "Who's this?" She added once she was finished eating the Nutella.

"You bitch." Amy spat before lunging at Cara from across the room. "How could you lead her on like this! I hate you! You broke my best friends heart, who do you think you are?" She growled as she continued to try to attack Cara, i hugged Amy's body, i had no clue what to do and obviously my natural instinct was to use myself as a human shield. Cara just stood frozen in the door way of the kitchen clinging onto every word that came out of Amy's mouth.

"Amy please calm down!" I shouted over her consistent curses. "Please don't hurt her! Lets leave okay? Just come with me!" I pushed Amy over to the front door and outside. I ran back into the apartment, rushing around like a mad man trying to find my jacket and phone and keys. Once i had collected everything i met Cara in the kitchen door way. She was still frozen in place, her face blank.  I wrapped my arms around her waist and hugged her tightly until i felt her exhale, her arms wrapped around my neck.

"I have to go." I whispered lightly into the crook of neck. Her arms wound around me tighter and she kissed me on the forehead before releasing me. I reluctantly walked out the apartment. Just before leaving i heard Cara call my name. I back tracked a few steps to look into the living room. I was caught off guard when i was tackled into a tight hug, almost knocking me over she connected our lips passionately and she moaned into it. She moved back slightly with a smile plastered across her face. From behind her back she revealed a plate stacked with pancakes and i couldn't help but laugh at the gesture.

"I couldn't let you leave hungry." She then kissed me on the cheek, placing the plate in my hands and flopped down onto the sofa, she wasn't making it easy to leave but i heard Amy huffing outside so i thought it was best to go before Cara's apartment became a boxing ring. I stepped outside and it was pouring it down, one look up with my mouth open and i would probably drown, but even the weather couldn't stop me smiling as i replayed everything from the last twelve hours back in head.
