And on the other side of the forest, Jimin stood before the glowing shadow. His breath was shallow, his heartbeat frantic. But something compelled him forward.

Slowly, cautiously, he reached out—

And placed his hand on the shadow’s shoulder.

Jimin hesitated for a moment before speaking, his voice barely above a whisper. "Hello…? Hello, mister…?"

No response.

His heart pounded as he carefully lowered himself to sit in front of the mysterious figure. The boy was seated on the ground, his head bowed, his face completely hidden. The dim glow of his white shirt stood out against the eerie darkness surrounding them. It almost seemed unnatural, the way it shone faintly in the moonlight.

Jimin swallowed hard. His hands trembled as he reached out, gently patting the stranger’s cheek. "Hey… are you okay? Can you hear me?"

Still, no response.

A cold shiver ran down Jimin’s spine. Something about this felt… wrong. But at the same time, he couldn’t just leave this person alone.

With shaky hands, he patted the boy’s cheek again, a little firmer this time.

Slowly, the figure lifted his face.

Jimin’s breath caught in his throat.

His body froze. His mind went blank.

The boy in front of him… was breathtakingly handsome.

His sharp jawline, flawless skin, and piercing eyes made Jimin momentarily forget where he was. How could someone look this perfect? He wasn’t sure if it was the dim lighting or his own paranoia, but there was something almost unreal about him.

Jimin shook his head, snapping himself out of his daze. "What the hell are you doing sleeping here?" he muttered to himself.

His eyes darted around, noticing a small lake nearby. The water shimmered under the faint moonlight.

Maybe he just needed to wake up properly.

Jimin hurried over, scooping up a handful of cold water. He returned to the boy and gently sprinkled the droplets onto his face.

The boy stirred.

A soft groan escaped his lips as his eyelids fluttered open, revealing a pair of deep, mesmerizing eyes.

Jimin held his breath as the stranger slowly turned his gaze toward him.

Jimin crouched slightly, tilting his head as he examined the stranger. "Are you okay?"

The boy blinked a few times, looking dazed. "Y-You?" His voice was rough, uncertain.

Jimin watched as the boy touched his own arms and chest, as if confirming he was real. Jimin furrowed his brows, finding his actions a bit odd.

"Who are you?" the boy finally asked, standing up slowly.

Jimin crossed his arms. "First, you tell me—why were you sleeping here in the middle of the forest?"

The boy hesitated. "I… I was heading home… but I must have fainted."

Jimin raised an eyebrow. "Fainted? In the middle of nowhere?"

The boy nodded slightly, looking unsure of his own words.

Jimin sighed, deciding not to push further. "Alright. Anyway, my name is Jimin. What’s yours?"

The boy hesitated again before answering. "Yoongi."

The way he said Jimin’s name made something stir inside Jimin, an unfamiliar feeling settling in his chest.
