Everyone had finally arrived in the city after that day. The atmosphere was filled with happiness, especially for the three couples. But for Yoonmin, this moment was even more special.
Today, Yoongi and Jimin were standing in front of Yoongi’s house. It had been ten years since he had last been here. Ten long years. His hands were slightly shaking as he stared at the familiar door, his heart pounding in his chest.
Jimin, sensing his nervousness, gently placed a hand on his arm.
"Yoongi…" Jimin whispered.
Yoongi turned his head, his anxious eyes meeting Jimin’s warm gaze.
"Everything will be okay, Yoongi," Jimin reassured him with a soft smile.
Yoongi sighed shakily before pulling Jimin into a hug, seeking comfort in his presence. Jimin held him tightly, rubbing his back soothingly.
After a moment, they finally rang the doorbell.
Inside, a middle-aged woman was cooking while a man sat at the dining table, working on his laptop. Though the house was still standing strong, the people inside it felt like lifeless bodies—existing, but without a soul.
"Yuna, see who's at the door," Mr. Min said, not looking up from his laptop. "I’m busy with important work."
"Yes," Yuna replied, wiping her hands on her apron as she walked toward the door.
She opened it, and her entire body froze.
Her breath hitched, her hands trembled, and her eyes widened in disbelief.
The person standing before her was someone she had lost ten years ago.
Her son.
Min Yoongi.
For a moment, she couldn't even move. Her mind refused to believe what her eyes were seeing. Was this real? Or was she hallucinating?
"Mom…" Yoongi’s voice cracked, his eyes already filled with tears.
"My Yoongi… my son… my Yoongi!" Yuna finally cried out, her legs almost giving up on her.
Tears streamed down her face as she reached forward with shaky hands, touching Yoongi’s face as if he would disappear any second. She cupped his cheeks, feeling his warmth, before pressing desperate kisses all over his face.
"My son… my son…" she sobbed, holding him close as if afraid he would vanish.
Yoongi wrapped his arms around her tightly, his own tears falling freely.
"Mom…" he whispered, his voice trembling.
"Mom…" he repeated, sobbing against her shoulder.
Hearing the loud cries, Mr. Min, Jihyun, frowned and stood up. "What’s going on—"
His words stopped mid-sentence.
His eyes landed on the scene in front of him, and for a moment, his entire body went cold.
He couldn’t believe it.
His son.
The son he had buried in his heart ten years ago.
Yuna turned to him, still sobbing. "O-our son… our son is alive…!"
Mr. Min took slow, hesitant steps forward. His hands were shaking as he reached out, almost afraid this was just a cruel dream.
But Yoongi was real.
He was standing there, breathing, crying, alive.
Without another word, Mr. Min pulled Yoongi into a tight embrace. The three of them held each other, crying as years of pain and longing finally spilled out.
Jimin stood nearby, watching the emotional reunion with soft, loving eyes. He didn’t interrupt—this was their moment.
After what felt like forever, they finally moved to the couch. Yoongi sat beside his mother, his head resting on her lap as she gently stroked his hair.
"I missed you both so much…" Yoongi whispered, his tears still falling.
Yuna wiped her eyes. "Where were you all these years, Yoongi?"
Before Yoongi could speak, Jimin quickly jumped in.
"Actually… I found him in the forest," Jimin said, keeping his voice calm and convincing. "He was badly injured back then… and when he woke up, he had lost his memory. He didn’t remember his name or anything about his past."
Yoongi turned to look at Jimin, surprised at how quickly he came up with the story.
Jimin continued without hesitation. "He lived with me all this time… and just a few days ago, he finally remembered everything."
Yuna broke into fresh tears. "Thank God… Thank God my son is back!"
Mr. Min sighed deeply, his hands trembling. "We searched for your body for a year, Yoongi… but we couldn’t find you anywhere. After that, we lost all hope."
"But look," Yuna said, cupping Yoongi’s face again, smiling through her tears. "My son is here… and he looks just the same as he did ten years ago."
Yoongi glanced at Jimin, who smiled knowingly.
The family was finally reunited.
After some time, as things settled, Mr. Min spoke. "Yoongi… after your accident… your three friends… they also had an accident and died on the spot."
Yoongi stiffened for a second before nodding. "I know."
Yuna wiped her tears. "For ten years, I was just a body without a soul… but not anymore. Now, I’ll spend every moment with my heart, my love."
Yoongi held her hands. "Of course, Mom."
Then he turned to his father. "Who is handling the company now?"
Mr. Min sighed. "We couldn’t trust anyone, so… it’s me."
"Not anymore," Yoongi said firmly. "Now, you will rest, Dad. I’ll take care of everything."
A proud smile formed on Mr. Min’s lips. "That’s my son."
Jimin had been silent all this time, just watching with a smile. But Yuna suddenly turned to him.
"Son, why are you so quiet?" she asked gently. "Thank you for saving my Yoongi."
Jimin blushed. "It’s okay, Auntie… he is my life."
The moment those words slipped out, he realized what he had said and turned bright red.
Yuna raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Are you two married?"
Yoongi smirked. "Not yet, Mom."
"Then when are you getting married?" Yuna asked teasingly.
Jimin, still blushing, mumbled, "Whenever you say…"
Mr. Min chuckled. "How about in one week? Then Yoongi can take over the business right after."
Yoongi smiled. "As you say, Dad."
Jimin and Yoongi met each other’s eyes. They were happy. Finally, truly happy.
