Glenn waves us all forward as we approach the prison. After everyone makes it out of the woods, he steps forward with Daryl and Rick; who are cutting wholes in the fence. This time Daryl stays behind when we all step through the whole. I was last to go through, besides Daryl, so I hold the fence open for him. Rick takes some orange wire to patch up the whole.

We all look around to where we made it. "Now we just need to get to that fence and close it, stop the rest of them from getting in the yard," Rick sighs. "I'll go."

"Hell if ya are," Daryl buts in. "Dar-"

"I'll do it," Glenn interrupts. "I volunteered first."

"Its a damn suicide run," Daryl growls. As we stand in a circle arguing Rick turns on his heals, making his way to the gate. I nudge Glenn and Daryl so they'll shut up and look. Before he leaves he gives everyone post to stand at. Me and Daryl get the same one also with Carl next to us. The other guard tower has Hershel, Glenn, and Carol. Everyone else is spread out by the fence taking.

Rick starts running across the yard. Daryl takes the first shot, killing a walker that got to close to Rick. Carol takes the second, missing the walker and almost hitting him in the foot. "Sorry," she calls down to him. I take the last shot before Rick kicks a corpes in the chest and gets the gate chained. He looks back at everyone then runs up the nearest guard tower.
"Light 'em up," Daryl yells, signaling the other. With that, everyone begins firing shots off. Dropping bodies one by one. I shoot a couple down then take my aim at another one, a shot rings out beside me, the one I'm pointing at drops. I look over at Carl who just laughs. All bullets and groaning has ceased, Daryl scans the yard before sending one last bolt across the yard, killing the only alive dead body.

Rick looks over at us and just smiles. For the first time in a long time, we are all smiling. I let a small laugh escape from the back of the throat and Carl chuckles. I push him over lightly for shooting my walker.

I let Carl go down the stairs first so he could go see his mom and dad, but really I wanted him to leave first. Soon after Carl runs down the stairs I turn to Daryl, who already knew this was coming. I go to wrap my arms around his neck but he quickly stops me, grabbing my arms and pulling me into a kiss.

We walk down the stairs but I stop him before he opens the door. "What?" I stand on my tippy-toes, giving him a peck on the lips. "I wanted one more kiss." He shakes his head with a smile playing across it.

Everyone else runs into the field. "We haven't had this much space since the farm," Carol spins in the field. Glenn goes around finishing off the walkers we hadn't while me and Daryl collected his bolts.

---------------------------------------

Carol and Lori cook up some meat for the group. I almost finish my bowl so I figured Daryl would need some food, before I could get up to fill my bowl for him, Carol is already up and half way there. Carl scoots over to me with Sofia not far behind. I put my arm around Carl, "You doin' okay?"

"Yeah," he leans into my side. Being noesy, I look over at Carol and Daryl. Jealously rises in me seeing him giving her a back rub. "Are you okay?" I turn my attention back to Carl, "Yeah..why wouldn't I be?" He leans forward to look at what I am. "Because you're staring at them," he chuckles. I pull him over my stomach and rub his head, messing up his hair.
"You're staring again," he whispers. "I'm not staring..I'm observing," I clarify. "Sure," he teases. "Don't you have a friend to talk to?"

He laughs at me but pulls away to talk with Sofia. Daryl and Carol jump off the top of the tipped over truck, heading my way. "Hey," Daryl sits beside me. "Hey.."

He gives me a questioning look. "We should all probably get some rest," Rick starts. "I know today was a big win but tomorrow we're gonna push into the prison." Annoyed sighs and scoff comes from all around. "Listen, in know we've been working hard but we have to know if its safe. So get rested up," he finishes.
