Chapter 25 (see? I can be normal)

Hermione POV

After classes I bid farewell to Ron and Harry before making my daily trip to the library.

Ron and Harry mostly think that I go to read but truly I love seeing the other student walking around the hallways.

Most of the time I find myself watching some people and thinking,

What is wrong with this generation.

When I got to my usual desk and pulled out a book from the many shelves, I flipped the front cover to read the first page.

There's a noise of shuffling and I look up to find Hufflepuff Amelia Evan's peeking around the shelves.

I stand up to come closer to her when she'd gaze lands on me and she waves.

"Hiiiii." Her hand waves so fast and hard that it looks like it's gonna fall off any second.

"Hello." I smile back to her

But my eyes land on a book in her hand.

"What's that?" I step a little closer to get a better look at it.

It's big and brown with gold lettering and outline.

"Oh this? It's a book." She says it as though I've never see a book before in my life.

"Yeah I know-"

"So why did you ask?" Shes about 2 inches shorter than me even though I'm years older, she does dig deep under my skin though.

"Well-," I sigh "can I see it?"

She nods and hands me the book, the weight being transferred over into my hand.

My eyes dart over the cover of the book.

'Myths and Legends of Greece'

It sounds inviting to my ears so I flip open the first page, immediately falling in love with it.

Looking back up at Amelia I ask "Can I read this by any chance?"

"Of course." She smiles and skips away, disappearing into the bookshelves.

I take the book and gather up my things, before darting from the library to a read in the common room.

And I could tell that this book would definitely take me on a wild ride.
