"I'll be over in 10 minutes." I get out of his car, unlock the door, and enter my house. I stalk upstairs to change. Pietro and I need to discuss plans for when I work with Athan.

"I cannot believe the day I walk home it decides to pour," I say as I peel my clothes off. "What luck..."

I knock on his door and his mom opens it. "Corrigan, I assume." She winks at me. "I've heard so much about you."

Yeah, probably because you had to be briefed, I thought to myself.

"All good things, I hope." I give her a smile.

"Peter's room in the second on the right," she says pointing up upstairs, "would you like anything? Water? Lemonade?"

"No, I'm alright Mrs. Tucker. Thank you." I head up. His door is ajar so I decide to enter. "Pietro! Put a shirt on!" I squeal.

"What? You do not like the view?" he chuckles.

Oh, trust me I do.

"No, now put this on!" I pick up a shirt on a chair and chuck it to him.

He's so buff, how does he fit in the school uniform?

"There, are you happy now?" he asks after he's fully dressed.

"Yes. Now about Athan. I have to work with him after school."

"What? Why?" he asks with his brow furrowed.

"Well, obviously one reason is because we need information," I roll my eyes, "and we have a project in AP Psych."

"Why do you not work on it at school?"

"We can't. We have to do it on our own time. Why do you care?" Seriously, why so many questions all of a sudden?

"I just do not think it is safe for you to go to a HYDRA house by yourself. What if they capture you?"

"I can take care of myself, you know. Anyways, I was thinking of just having him come to my house. Do you have a problem with that?" I had the urge to stick my tongue out, but I controlled myself.

"Yes, I do! What if he is secretly a Kung Fu master and attacks you? Or he has a-"

I interrupted him, tired of his babbles. "Oh my gosh, fine, what do you suggest?"

"Well, I should be there when he comes, obviously."

I was a little stunned. He wanted to be there? "Okay...say I agree to go with that. How would you explain it?" Quickly, I add, "But don't think I'm agreeing, I'm going to call Steve."

"I do not know, they can come up with something. Go ahead and call Rogers now, I want to hear."

"Okay, fine." I pulled my cell out of my pocket and clicked on Steve's contact. As it rang I gave Pietro a dirty look so he knew I wasn't happy.

"Hello? Is everything okay?" I smiled when I heard Steve's voice; until then, I didn't realize I missed the rest of the team so much.

"Yes, don't worry. We're both okay. We were just calling because we need your advice."

"Of course, of course, I should be up to date since I've been reading your updates. They're very detailed, nice job." I felt myself blush at the compliment, any acknowledgment of my effort made me happy.

"Okay, so Athan and I are partners for a project, which, by the way, should get us some very useful information. Anyways, we have to work on it after school so I planned on having him come over. Speedy here thinks that he needs to be here 'in case something happens.' Please tell him he's being ridiculous." I waited a few moments but he didn't say anything. "Steve? You still there?"

"Yeah...Allona, I know you don't want to hear this, but he's right. He should be there with you."

"Steve!! What are you talking about? I'm perfectly capable of handling myself!"

"Hey, Allona, I am not so bad," Pietro cut in.

I cover the phone, "Pietro. Shut. Up." I went back to my phone, "You aren't serious, are you?"

"I'm sorry, Allona, but I am. Is Pietro there with you?" Steve inquires.

"Yeah, here he is." I hand Pietro the phone. While they talk I take the time to look around his room. It looks normal enough, messy already, even though we've only been here a few days. I see the window he uses to get to my room and I wonder if he always keeps his curtains open. I'll have to check that later.

"Okay. I will tell her. Bye Rogers." Pietro hangs up and hands me my phone back.

"So what's the plan, Stan?" I ask.

His eyebrows furl and his head tilts. He looks adorable... "Who is Stan?"

"No, no, it's a saying." I laugh, "Just tell me what's going on."

"Steve agreed with me, I will be here whenever Athan comes over."

"But what will we tell him? He's going to be over often and he'll probably get suspicious."

"Our cover story is that my parents went out of town but did not want me to miss school. So I will be staying with you!"

"Oh God...," I groan, my head falling into my hands, "what did I do to deserve this?" I looked back up at him, "How long?"

"How long do you have to work on your project?"

"3 weeks."

"Then 3 weeks." He gives me a smile.

"3 weeks?! Oh Lord, help me."

"So you're okay with this?" I ask incredulously.

"Of course. Why wouldn't we be?" my mom smiles, "If that's what Steve wants."

"What about you, dad? You're okay with a guy my age in the house?"

"Well, Corrigan, you guys are adults and I trust you not to do anything stupid. I don't care as long as I don't hear anything."

Pietro chuckles, "No promises, she seems like a screamer."

"Oh my God! Stop it!" I hiss. I punch him, hard, in the arm. I start to pull him towards the door. "I'm sorry about him, there's nothing going on between us. We're going to go talk to his parents, I'll be home for dinner."

I shut the front door behind us and turn to him. "What were you thinking?! I know they're not my real parents, but they might as well be, so stop."

"I am sorry princezná, I was just kidding. Do I need to go apologize?"

I sigh. "No, it's okay. Come on, let's talk to your parents. And stop calling me princess."
