The fact that Ava thought I was the one who ruined our friendship is absurd. She couldn't get it in her mind that I had a girlfriend. She got jealous, for no reason, and needed me to spend more time with her. I knew I was spending more time with Rebecca, but she is my girlfriend. What does Ava expect? Ava was one of the main reasons I came here tonight. I needed to forget all this drama she was resurfacing. I needed to forget about Ava.

"What were you doing talking to Ava?" Rebecca asked. Sometimes, when I really thought about it, Rebecca was not bright girl. She always managed to say pointless things at the wrong time. What didn't help was her voice. It was rude of me to say, being her boyfriend and all, but I often thought about it. Regardless, Rebecca was fun to be with. She always knew how to have a good time.

"Nothing, Rebecca just the usual. Are you ready to enjoy this party?" I knew it was not going to be the best party I ever went to. As I was only here to forget, I was waiting for another drink in my  hand, and another one after that. But, I'm not going to deprive other people the pleasure of the party. I want to let Rebecca have fun. I love making her happy.

"Let's go!" Becca replied. We danced, drank, then repeated it over and over. All through the night even though I felt happy on the outside I could feel something eating me on the inside and I just couldn't pinpoint it.

Was that weird?

The next morning I wake up to a stiff body and a big headache from last night.I know the best way to cure this; sleeping.

My eyes start to feel heavy again, when I hear my door violently being opened. "Mom says to get up. She is making a huge breakfast, and you know she never does that. She clearly has something planned." Chloe exclaimed. I grunted, indicating that I was awake. I would not go downstairs though. No point. I hear the door open, and then close, and I know she is gone. I close my eyes, trying to fall back to sleep, however Chloe came back into the room. "Mom said it is a surprise, so get up!"

She left the room, and after a few moments, I decided it is best to get up. I throw on some sweat pants and an old sweatshirt that happened to be lying on my messy room floor. Each step I took  down the stairs made my body ache for my bed. I was greeted by the sweet scent of my mother's pancakes, which she only made on holidays. My mind swirled with confusion; what was my mother doing? Knowing her, I have no idea what to expect.

"Good morning. How is that school project going? It must have taken a long time to finish last night." I almost managed to stifle out a laugh. If my mom ever found out what I was really doing, I was dead. I truly did not know how she didn't know about what I was really doing. To her, I was a straight A student, and a dull teenager. The former was true, of course, I made sure my grades stayed up; however I was not a dull teenager.
