Last night, I had the time of my life

Last night, I had the time of my life. I wish I could say the same thing about this morning. My feet are sore from all the dancing, and my head is pounding; most likely from the loud music. But, it's a Saturday and I know my mom wouldn't care if I stayed in bed late. I talked to Hunter this morning, as we exchanged numbers last night. Surprisingly, Hunter is a really nice guy. I thought he was going to be arrogant, but I guess that was just my assumption because he was at the party. He had a nice sense of humour, however I found myself comparing it to Ryder's. Hunter had to try hard to get me to laugh, while Ryder's jokes were always natural and effortless.

There I went off thinking of Ryder once again. I really needed to stop.

Hunter: Hey : )

Hunter: what are you planning to do today?

Ava: nothing

Ava: ...probably going to watch Netflix.

I thought about it momentarily, but realized I wanted to be honest with Hunter. I wanted him to know who I truly was.

Hunter: I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today. But if Netflix comes first, I understand.

I smiled at that. He really was caring.

Ava: well I guess I can postpone my shows for later. What do you have in mind?

I might as well give him a chance.

Hunter: there's a movie that starts at two, and I was thinking of grabbing a bite before that... so how about one?

Ava: that sounds great.

Hunter: great, just send me your address so I can pick you up.

I sent him my address, and turned off my phone when it delivered.

I knew that if I declined his offer, I would end up spending my day in bed, and that is not productive at all. I checked the time, and realized it would be wise to get up. I slowly get out of bed, stretching my body. I walked downstairs and headed straight to the medicine cabinet, grabbing an Advil. I took a bowl and filled it with cereal, just to fill my empty stomach.

When I am done, I made my way to my room, then to the shower. I seriously need to wash last night away. The hot water is soothing, and I was tempted to stay in it all day. After twenty minutes though, I step out of the shower and immediately dry my hair. It ended up frizzing up like it normally does, turning into a curly mess: just how I like it. The weather today is quite warm, so I pair a jean skirt with a long sleeved black top.

I fill in my eyebrows, add a small amount of eyeshadow, nude lipstick, and apply a bit of mascara. When I look in the mirror, I am satisfied with the result.
