Everything was about to change, I could just feel it.

Maybe it was because I was about to get my hair done and my makeup swell as my nails. My whole appearance was about to change or maybe it was something deeper. I wouldn't know until the end of the day.

I met up with Sarah and Zoe at the salon so we could get our hair done all together. While we sat in the seats and the hairdressers did our hair we talked.

"So Sarah how did you end up with Nathan being your date?" Zoe starts the interrogation. We continue talking about how cute they were going to be together. And we wondered whether he would as Sarah to be his girlfriend tonight. I would be so sweet.

Just like how it would be sweet if I told Ryder how I really felt even if he didn't return the feelings. No matter how many times Sarah and Zoe told me that he liked me I wouldn't allow myself to hope. I didn't want to set myself up for disappointment. That was why I needed to get Ryder out of my system, once I tell him how I feel and he doesn't feel the same I will be able to forget about him once and for all.

I wouldn't have to see him as soon as school ends since we won't be going to the same school. Even though we would still be living near each other it will be easy to ignore him.

Im brought out of my time consuming thoughts when Sarah calls to me asking if I'm ready to go do my nails.

Hours later after getting our nails, hair and makeup done, the girls came to my house so we could dress. The guys planned to meet up at Ryder's house since it was the closest to mine and then we were going to take pictures.

I looked at myself in the mirror, I inspected how every blemish was covered how my hair was styled to perfection. Everything was immaculate. This gave me hope that maybe tonight would go my way and be faultless.

But I had a feeling it wouldn't be.

I stepped back from the mirror so I could inspect the whole picture. I turned a little to see how my hair was fairing. It was all still up and the flowers were still tucked into place. My makeup was unblemished. Me dress fit me with a low cut lace sweetheart neckline, and at the waist came out in a flare of tule. The light pink colour flattered my makeup.

I glanced behind me and caught the eyes of Zoe who was in a light blue dress with the top seeming almost see through with blue butterflies. I turned around and watched as Sarah strutted out of the joined washroom with the lavender dress swaying around her long legs. The top showed a lot of cleavage with the steep neckline but everything was covered and she looked hot.

"Guys we look hot tonight!" I say with a large smile stretching across my face. Both girls in front of me nodded and laughed with me, as we headed downstairs so we could wait for the boys text telling us they were ready.
