WARNING! If you haven't read Something Different, the first fanfic in this series, I ADVISE DOING IT NOW! You won't regret it! Happy reading!

It had been almost a week since the day when I had almost lost Jack. We've made up since then, and have talked over going through with the plan, and finally decided that we wanted to do it. We had told Elsa yesterday that we wanted to go through with the plan, and everything was almost ready. About Tooth, we had been dodging her for a while, saying we had training to do (Tooth hates training, so she doesn't like to come with us to the outdoors), or some other excuse. Everything's been working out fine so far. Let's just hope it stays that way.

Jack's POV

"Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Elsa said as we, she and Astrid sat in a circle on the floor in our room. We both nodded, looking over at each other intently.

"So let's go over the plan. First, Hans finalizes both your deletions from the computer. Then Merida burns any signed document saying you have to stay. After that, we go to the basement and find the sewer tunnel. I break into the entrance, and you two, with the help of Elsa over walkie-talkie, navigate the tunnel until you reach the exit. Once there, you'll meet your escort and greet him with the code words "The High-School Heisters", and he'll take you where you need to go," Astrid recalled.

"And where would that be?" Hiccup asked.

"You'll have to find out."

Hiccup's POV

If this was real, it didn't feel like it. We were getting out without being caught. It was just so easy. Too easy.

"Come on Hic, we have to go!" Jack said as we made our way to the sewer entrance. Eventually, I could see it. It was a large, locked hatch with huge bolts along the rim. It looked like it had been rusted shut years ago. But didn't Elsa say that she had gotten people out using this method lots of times? Well, no matter. It wasn't important right now.

"Everyone stand back! I'm going to blow this thing open!" Astrid yelled. I took a few steps back, and then realized in her hand she held a stick of blood-red dynamite. I ran back, taking Jack's arm. This could be very dangerous. I watched from afar as Astrid struck a match on the stone wall, lit the stick, and ran. The fuse shortened and shortened as she ran farther away, and I began to worry for her. She was well within blast radius! I held my breath in anticipation as the fuse ran out, and a blinding light consumed the tunnel. Astrid was thrown forward by the blast, but from what I could tell she wasn't injured. Good.

"Hiccup! Are you okay?" Jack asked with a slightly worried brow.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I think it worked," I said, watching Astrid stumble up as the dust began to settle. I could see what was once the metal door had been inverted, the metal splaying as if it had been punctured violently, and the walls had dents in them the size of basketballs.

"Alright! Success. You guys go ahead. I have to go back and meet Elsa. Just tell us if you need help, okay?" Jack looked up at me, expecting reassurance. I gave him a silent answer, a nod, followed by the interlocking of my fingers in his. I rubbed my thumb on his palm to soothe him, and he smiled nervously, yet excitedly.

"Yeah, let's go," he said to Astrid. "See you later, whenever that might be."

"I'll miss you guys. I hope we run into each other again sometime."

"Come on, I love the sappy goodbyes, but we can't waste time. Let's go Jack." I started making my way down the sewer pipe. Jack ran briskly to catch up with me, looking behind him to give one last wave to Astrid. And soon she, and the light at the beginning of the tunnel, were gone.

Jack's POV

The light had faded into darkness. We were deep in the tunnel now. I reached into my pocket for my flashlight, which weakly flicked on, only giving me a short field of vision. I could see Hiccup's features highlighted in the dim light, his jawbone and eyes as sharp as a blade, his hair outlined ever so slightly so I could see just how effortlessly messy it was. He looked around, obviously confused as I where we were. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out the walkie-talkie.

"Elsa, do you read me?" Hiccup spoke.

"Loud and clear." Her voice came in static.

"How do we know when we've gotten to where to we need to be?"

"Trust me, you'll know. It might take a while to get there though, so just keep going. Sorry, got to run. Over and out."

"Over and out." He released the talk button and put it back in his pocket. I looked at my watch and realized it was late.

"Hey, we should take a break. We've been walking for a while now."

"Good idea," he replied. I spotted a lantern up ahead hanging on a wall. It was so dark I couldn't see Hiccup, which disappointed me. I loved seeing his face, and the lantern was that opportunity. But it would stray us from our path... I could only hope he spotted it too.
