WARNING! There is a slight bit of smut in this one! Not that much though. If you aren't bothered, happy reading!

Hiccup's POV

"Hey, let's go there. There's some light. I want to see you," I said. We walked over to the copper lantern. It was gas-lite, so it had to have been lite recently. That was weird, but convenient. We sat down under its warm light, and I could see Jack clearly now. His hair was attempting to be neat, but becoming more untamed by the minute. His eyes were electric, lite by the thrill of escape. And his lips taunted me and drew me close. I kissed him quickly, a sort of surprise. He jolted back, but then smiled, pleased.

"You know just how to catch me off guard, don't you?" He teased.

"You could say that," I replied. I made the mistake of closing my eyes, which left me completely unprepared for him. He passionately kissed me, wrapping his arms around my neck, pushing me against the wall. I put my hands around his waist, not opening my eyes. The loss of my sight turned my other senses on, making my lips buzz with every kiss. We stopped for a moment, me breathing heavily. I opened my eyes slightly, just enough to see the outline of him. He had traced his fingers down from my neck to the hem of my shirt, his hands pushing up on my chest. I allowed him to pull my shirt up over my head, and I did the same to him. His chest wasn't chiseled or broad, but it didn't matter, because his kisses made up for it and more. He ran his fingers through my hair, whispering into my ears words that I couldn't hear, but still had meaning. I nodded and pushed my fingers into his lower back, my thumbs into his hips. His hand that wasn't in my hair was on my upper back, thumbs tracing letters on my neck. I felt him spell 'I love you,' and from there, the rest was unexplainably... euphoric. Tantalizing. Wild.

Jack's POV

I woke up to his warmth wrapped around me, his chest touching my back, his hands around my waist. I ran my hand along his leg, causing him to wake up, mumbling something inappropriate as he opened his eyes. He pulled me into him, him breathing heavily into my neck, his eyes just barely opened. The light had dimmed even more, making it hard to make out his features. I turned my head so I looked directly at him, his face dabbed with sweat and exhilaration. His chocolate-cherry lips, his plaguing green irises, his frazzled hair, even though the light dimmed them, they still flashed in my mind as vividly as I remember when I looked at him now. I took his hands off of my waist and turned around, cupping his face in my hands as I kissed him. The taste of him didn't mean the same thing to me anymore, and it never would. But it was for the better.

Hiccup's POV

I felt his lips on mine, a reminder of last night. As he let go of my face and my lips, I awakened to see him, his eyes piercing mine in the dark of the tunnel.

"Good morning, babe." I said with a smirk, him smiling back.

"Good morning, love." He replied, biting his lip.

"That was fun." He laughed, but not his usual upbeat laugh, this time it was deeper and sexier. It was different, but a good kind of different.

"I agree." He replied, one hand pressing into the space between my shoulder blades, the other in the roots of my hair. He shifted his body closer to mine, his chest and mine making contact, pushing me down to the floor. He lay on top of me, his face framed in the aura of the gas light, the edges of his hair shining like angels' wings. He kissed me again, both of his hands entangled in my hair now, mine on his lower back. He smiled as we kissed, and I could feel his smile and his love in every move of his. I smirked as our lips disconnected, his smile illuminating my life.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"You don't get it, Jack." I continued. "I've never loved anyone else like you. I've never loved anyone else in the same way as you."

"Hiccup... I feel things for you I don't know that I can feel. I breathe for you. I understand. I love you."

At that moment everything stopped, the world paused as we lay on the floor, entangled in one another, losing ourselves in each other. Nothing else mattered in that moment, because I was with him. I could feel his body, I could feel his heart, I could feel his love. And in that moment, in that second when everything stopped, we both knew we were one.
