A Sinister Mystery

The Axalon, now laying in ruin and despair, its flames long since extinguished from the howling winds. And stood out the most among the wreckage was the Axalon's engine, destroyed from being the heart of the ship's destruction.

Then, withing the husk of the engine, it began to glow an ominous, evil purple. The more time slowly passed, the glow grew brighter and brighter...

Until a savage roar echoed from within the hollow engine and throughout the empty city.

Shockwave walks out of the repair bay, wiping the energon and oil stained to his claws with a cloth. As he did, he approached Uzi and J who sat in the waiting room.

"It took me 24 hours, but now I can confirm that Scorn will recover. However I had to put him into stasis in order to accelerate the healing process, giving the fact that he does not possess the same healing factors as we do."

"And his... 'companions'?" J inquired. While she doesn't know Scowl and Battletrap personally and that Alice and Beau literally tried to dissect them, she couldn't help but wonder.

"They intend to remain in Scorn's room. Nori already left, presumably to grieve."

"Well at least we don't have to worry about telling my mom that my uncle is dead. So there's that." Uzi commented with a shrug. When she did, she let out a sigh.

"But that's not what's been worrying me. I can't keep what dad said out of my head."

"Yes. This 'Obsidian' character that Khan mentioned. I've fought Scorn myself, therefore I know he is not one to go down easy. Whoever Obsidian is, he must be a truly mighty warrior if he is able to leave the Alpha of the Sentinels in such a state." Shockwave nodded in agreement as J crossed her arms.

"Clearly... Say, that Con you and Brawl knew from the War for Cybertron. Motormaster was his name, right?" She questioned with a raised brow, Shockwave turning his helm to her.

"You are correct, J, that is indeed his name. He is a Decepticon whose size rivals that of Megatron and Optimus. He is part of a five-man combat unit similar to the Combaticons, the Stunticons." He explained as he took a seat like the two girls had.

"During the war, the Stunticons were commonly referred to as the 'Decepticon Wreckers'. Giving what they do, it is no mystery why. They are relentless, road-sided daredevils, well known for their tendency to annihilate everything in their way."

"You said 'five-man'. Motormaster aside, mind telling us who the other four are?" Uzi asked, Shockwave nodding in reply.

"The first, obviously, is Breakdown..."

"Knockout's deceased partner?" J asked with a raised brow.

"Precisely. The second is Drag Strip, the victory obsessed speedster. There is also Dead End, the one with an admittedly concerning case of depression. And then there's Wildrider, the most destructive and psychopathic of the Stunticons."

"And this Motormaster guy is, what, their leader I'm guessing?" Uzi asked curiously.

"Not only is Motormaster the leader of the Stunticons, but he is also their last surviving member."

"That must be rough. But back on topic, do you think Obsidian has something to do with Motormaster being here?" Uzi asked again, leaving Shockwave to place a clawed digit onto his chin.

"Possibly. Motormaster did admit that he doesn't work for Starscream, which serves as evidence that he could be working for Obsidian. In fact, when he learned of your existence and my association with you, Uzi, he quickly turned to hostility."
