Once again, I am woken by my Mom tapping me on the shoulder. I hear a woman speak on the intercom, "Ladies and gentlemen, we have landed in Atlanta. It's 1:36PM, and nice and sunny. Have a nice day, and thank you for flying with us!"

My Mom and I walk through the airport in silence, occasionally giving each other an awkward smile. When we get outside, we summon a taxi and hop in. Mom hands the driver a small piece of paper, with an address written on it. He types the street into his navigation system (which is stuck to the windscreen), and starts to drive. My Mom turns to me, looking both nervous and excited at the same time.

"Just wait until you see the house! It's gorgeous! And it's in such a friendly neighbourhood. I heard it's near a few celebrity houses too! Isn't that exciting?"

I give her a forced smile in an attempt to ease her guilt. For the rest of the twenty minute trip, we endure a rather awkward silence, as my iPod is out of battery and I've had no chance to charge it since we left Indiana.

"Alright, here we are," the taxi driver says as we slow down, eventually stopping. My Mom hands him the required amount of money and steps out, me directly behind her. When the cab drives away, I finally remove my eyes from the ground to see an amazing, white house. The long driveway leading up to it is bordered by rows of beautiful plants. The sun shines from the other side of the house through a large, glass window which stretches from the bottom of the first floor to the top of the second.

I suddenly feel a hand on my shoulder, interrupting my admiration of this amazing house.

"Come on, let's take our stuff inside," my Mom says as she pulls me along in my trance-like state. The inside is even more amazing than the outside. The whole lounge and kitchen area is painted creme, which turns slightly more yellow when the sun hits the walls. "This is amazing," I say as I gently brush my hand over the nearest wall, for some reason, thinking it would be different to any other wall I have seen. I stumble up the stairs (being my clumsy self), and head in the direction that my Mom points me in. I walk down a small hallway to a creme-coloured door. I open it to see a beautiful, furnished room. There is a queen-size double bed pushed against the far wall. The pillows and covers are a gorgeous shade of purple, my favourite colour. Opposite the bed is a large window surrounded by long, pulled back drapes that are the same shade of purple as the bed covers. I put my bags down near the door and think to myself, This... Is incredible.
