The dark angel **Chapter 17**

Rimia watched her small friends climb in the van as she saw her friend in disbelief.
Not only at her new transformation but at who she was carrying.
"Rimia...."
"Not now."
Valerie turned in the car as they quietly made it on the road.
"Rimia...our entire home was abolished after you were taken...so we changed location..."
She sighed relieved "Thankgod you and they are okay."
"Yea."
Coles long body still hanged from her lap "Can we stop...near that old cemetary."
Valerie smiled "Of course Rimia."
Valerie gazed at her back,her wings had vanished and all that appeared was a shatter and broken part of her long time friend.
The smell was obvious and her lips were iron red.The children slept peacefully in the back seat.
"Here we are."
After a long way back they were here and Rimia got out of the deserted location and with Cole in her hands.
"Rimia...do you want me-"
"No..I'll manage."
After tossing Cole in a old coffin she needed to leave.
She ran off and into the van where her friends were at.
"Ria..are you okay?"
"Yea lets go now."
The woman started the car when dusk had just set in,it would be a long drive now..too long.

"Rimia..hey get up we're being searched."
Rimia opened her eyes,her wings unraveled and Valeries eyes widened "You mind hiding those for now..."
"Yea..whatever.."
Valerie opened her window revealing a man in a tuxedo accompanied by a hound dog.
"Hello humans we have just come to check your identity please."
Valerie handed him a card and a number "Is this what there doing now?Why?"
"Appears as if we have a vampire on the loose,destroying humans was his specialty yet he only destroys everything including the supernaturals."
Valerie glanced at me from the corner of her eye "Wow any idea who it could be,can't be too careful."
"They call him the vanishing,because before anyone could guess who he was gone like that.."
The man snapped his finger and handed back her I.D,"Have a safe trip now."
He flashed his fangs out into a smile and left.
Valerie moved the car and Rimia gazed out the window where flashing lights surrounded two corpses bodies layed at.
"That's scary to hear huh?"
"Valerie."
Valerie gazed over at her friend worryingly.
"Yea?"
"You go on without me.."
"What why I just got you now!"
"Valerie...I cant risk exposure to you or them."
Rimia pointed at the ten human children in the back.
"Rimia!You cant expect me to do this by myself!I cant take care of them on my own without you I need my friend back you were gone for too long."
Valerie parked on the side of an endless field.
"Rimia...what happened to you?"
"That doesnt matter anymore."
"You're too reckless, you've always been."
"Isnt that my own motto 'reckless is the behavior of a fallen'."
"That was never your motto you were never a fallen angel you had white wings Rimia!You had a beautiful brave smile against vampires!Now.."
"Now you despise who I am altogether?"
"No that isnt that!"
"Valerie I am much more of a fallen I can't change who I've become."
"Who exactly have you become?"
Rimia pressed her hand on Valeries shoulder "I'll strike a deal with you."
"What is it?"
"If for some reason...I dont make it back to where your headed..dont look for me."
"Rimia!"
"I've lost so much...I lost my pride....I've lost my innocence...I've lost him..I cannot let something like you leave me too."
"Rimia...your infected..." the wound that was once covered by her long hair was purple on her pale skin.
Valerie placed her hands on her mouth and tears sprayed from her own gray eyes.
"Rimia!Your dieing!"
Valerie hugged her friend tightly "I've lived long enough havent I?"
"Rimia!I-I cant believe this!This is painful this is so painful!why!"
"At a point I did care of becoming like him...like my mate...but...I realized something..after he left.
..I was absolutely nothing..that's why I waited for this.."
Valerie held to her friends hand "What can I do...what can I do...without you.."
"Dont cry....but..."
Rimia bit into her wrist and purple red blood swirled through Valeries vision.
"W-whats this.."
"A way you can be strong...stronger than any vampire..without me..."
"I-I cant Rimia!I can't!"
Rimia half smiled "It's okay Valerie...there will always be a piece of me with you."
The sobs grew louder as she hugged her friend more tightly.
"I'll do this for you."
"No.."
Rimia held her friends hand tightly "Do it for them."
The children layed quietly sleeping and a silent tear escaped Rimias face.
"The hardest part...is saying goodbye..but..but.."
"I'll see you soon Rimia."
Valerie smiled and dragged Rimias bloody wrist to her mouth.
"Yes...only if you replace soon with never."

Her pace was slow,the more she moved the weaker she grew.She could almost hear Coles scolding voice in her head and she smiled,that stupid vampire.

She fell to the ground the leaves russled beneath her wet blood stained dress.

The music of a violin could be heard from a distance,a ghost apparition of her lover glancing over at her with a small yet elegant smile.
She reached to him but the further she got the farther he had appeared to be.

"Will you play again for me?"
Cole smiled "You want me to play for you?"
"Yes again please."
"As you wish."
She had only wished his marvelous tune lasted much longer,she wished she had said those words after he stopped playing,for it had died down before she could hear it a second time.
