Falling Down

The day before had been a crazy day from Terrance calling her stunning, to finding out about her father and then all the chores on the list. It was 9 o'clock when Monica finally woke up to get dressed, she put on khaki shorts and a teal blouse with teal flip flops. As she headed down stairs she couldn't help but stop to eves drop on the conversation she was hearing in the dining room. "You have to stay to eat with us Terrance please for this old sick women." Kimberly begged. "I would love to Ms. Kim but I really shouldn't, I have to go out and pull the vegetables from the garden." Terrance responded. "Okay but tomorrow you will stay." Monica started going down stairs so it wouldn't look like she was listening and as she got to the bottom step Terrance walked out of the dining room. "Good morning Monica." He said in a slight whisper. "Morning." She responded looking at him carefully trying to read his expression but not really able to. When she got into the dining room Kimberly was sitting there eating a bowl of fruit and reading a book. She gave Monica a light smile and Monica smiled back. She sat down and Elise handed her a bowl of fruit and the day's schedule. There weren't as many as yesterday but after reading through she realized that in 10 minutes she had to go out and help Terrance get the vegetables from the garden. "Morning guys!" Lib said as she sat down and Elise handed her a bowl of fruit. Lib red her schedule and they saw that while Monica was helping in the garden Lib would be going grocery shopping with Roger. After eating they got up and headed out to do the first things on there schedule.

As Monica gets closer to the garden she sees Terrance look up confused. "What are you doing here?" He asked. "It was on my schedule to come here and help you." Monica responded. "I always read the schedules and it said your friend Lib was supposed to be here." He responded sourly. "Well sorry to burst your bubble but I'm helping you out whether you want me too our not." "Burst my bubble." He repeated laughing. "Who even says that." He had the biggest smile on his face making Monica also laugh. "Anyway what do you need me to do?" "Um, over there are some carrots just pull them out dust them off a little and put them in this bucket." He responded. "Ok." She said walking away.

Terrance had been nice to her the whole time and she couldn't help but turn and watch his muscles flex as he worked slowly. As she walks into the house she barley glances up but she does in time to see Kimberly start falling down the stairs. "MOM!" She screams sprinting up to try and catch her. She reaches out but Kimberly hits her so hard she falls down right under Kimberly softening Kimberly's landing. The door swings open and Terrance is standing there eyes wide and at the same time Elise comes running down the stairs. "Call 911." Elise says urgently and Terrance runs to get the phone. Elise and Terrance quickly pick up Kimberly who is passed out and they bring her to the couch to lay her down. Kimberly being on Monica's legs had made it so she didn't realize the pain she was in but the minute she tries to stand up she screams out in pain and the last thing she remembers before passing out from the pain was Terrance right next to her eyes wide trying telling her to keep her eyes open.
