Lib had called Monica and explained everything to her and afterwards Monica had hung up the phone, told Kimberly what had happened, skipped dinner and had now been laying in her bed for 6 hours. She quickly checked the clock seeing that it was one and so she carefully got up using her crutches left the house so she couldn't be heard. Kimberly and Monica had become so close it was like they had known each other most of there lives. Kimberly had comforted Monica every day since the news while they were in Paris and she had made sure that Roger always did everything Monica needed since Elise hadn't been to work in over a week.
The air was cold but it was no surprise since it was 1 am but it didn't bother Monica all that she could think was she needed to get Edmond out of his stall and sit with him outside of the garden because Edmond and the garden were the things that reminded her of Terrance the most. The 2 weeks that Monica and Terrance had spent together after learning there feelings for each other had been amazing. Terrance would hold Monica when she cried about not wanting Kimberly to die because she wanted to know her longer but now he was in a coma because someone shot him and the cops still hadn't figured out who it was. The cops had said that there only real hope in finding who shot Terrance was if Terrance woke up from his coma and said what the man or women looked like.
Monica woke up from her thoughts relaxing she had fallen asleep next to the garden laying on Edmond who hadn't moved so that she could sleep. She grabbed her crutches and carefully walked him back to the stall and then headed home to get dressed out of her dirty nightgown. When she got to the door two cops were standing there blocking the door. "You can't enter, what's your name?" The said at the same time." "I'm Monica Avery Kimberly's daughter." They called for Roger who said it was her and then she went into her room, got changed and took a 1 hour shower.
After changing Kimberly came into her room (Roger pushing her wheelchair) and tucked her into bed. "Honey you have a slight fever just sleep and don't worry about anything." She then kissed Monica's cheek. "I love you goodbye Monica." When she left Monica heard her whisper to Roger. "Don't tell her till afterwards." She would have gotten up immediately to ask what was wrong but she was so sad and she felt like she was getting a fever so she just went to bed.
The next morning Roger knocked and then walked into Monica's room. "Oh hi Roger, I don't feel well so I'm gonna just stay in bed today." Roger looked at her with concern. "There is some news." He said. "Oh yay is Terrance okay?" She asked she didn't sound excited though because she was very sick so she could hardly lift her head from the bed. "No Monica your mother has passed." He said it fast like ripping off a bandage. Monica's eyes widened and then she just started crying, if you ask Roger he would say she cried for at least an hour. He brought her tissues and her favorite cinnamon pop tarts but she wouldn't eat and then she looked up. "Is th-this wh-what she didn't want you to tell me, did she know she was going to die last night." "She had started feeling terrible but she didn't want to show it but one day when we went to visit Terrance while you were here she talked to the doctor and he said she had 2 days." Tears started streaming down her eyes again. "B-but why wouldn't she tell me?" Roger whipped her tears away with a tissue. "Honey you were in so much pain she didn't want to make it worse, but she did last 4 days instead of 2, every night she would kiss you and say goodbye and then tell me not to tell you till later which I listened to her." Monica got up carefully feeling her head throb as she did. "I need to go see Terrance." She quickly made Roger leave and then started getting ready.
Roger drove Monica to the hospital and when she walked in she saw Lib sitting in one of the chairs drinking coffee. Lib would get to the house at 12am and leave again at 7am to get there Incase something happened to Terrance and she had to call Monica. Lib looked up at saw Monica. Monica ran over (as much as you can on crutches) and as Lib stood up they hugged and then Monica just started sobbing. "Mon what's wrong, talk to me." Lib lifted Monica's head up and looked her in the eye. "She's gone." She started sobbing again. "Who Mon who's gone?" She asked worry in her voice and on her face. "My mom, she died in her sleep last night." Lib was so shocked but she grabbed Monica's crutches later them on the ground and then hugged her tightly sitting her on her lap as if she was a child. "It's going to be okay Mon, it's going to be okay." She whispered. "I need to go see Terrance." She mumbled under a sob. Elise walked in and look at Monica and then looked at Roger who shook his head yes and then she started crying. Roger walked over to her and hugged her rubbing her head. Monica got up left her crutches and started limping towards the elevator.
When she got to Terrance's floor she limped as fast as she could to his room. It was dark because the lights were off but she didn't mind because she could just be with Terrance. She laid down on the bed next to him and just talked out load about Kimberly and about how she missed him so much she said that Edmond missed him. Then she broke down. I need you, I need you to fight to live and get out of this coma because I can't have two people that I love dying. "That would be a bummer wouldn't it." Monica jumped. A man was sitting in the corner chair in the dark which creeped her out. She quickly sat up. "Who are you." She asked rubbing her tears out of her eyes. "Well I did this to your beloved." Her jaw dropped. "You did what." "You heard me." She went to press the button that got the doctor but he lifted up a gun. "Don't tough it, get off the bed and come here." She did as he said scared out of her mind. And then her swung the gun and hit her in the head and then she blanked out.
