Two Weeks Without You

Terrance storms into the dining room madder then Elise had ever seen him before. "WHERE IS SHE!" He yells. "Who dear." She asks startled. "Monica where is Monica!" He exclaims. "She went horse back riding on the waterfall trail so she could say good bye to Edmond before she left." He runs out before Elise could even ask what was the matter. As soon as he got to the stables he jumped on a horse and rode it as fast as possible to catch up to Monica.

Monica had been playing in the water with Edmond near the waterfall for nearly an hour when hooves racing towards her and immediately she knew it was Terrance. Today she was leaving with Kimberly for a two week trip to Europe and she was so excited except she never told Terrance because she didn't know how to say goodbye but she had never seen him seriously mad before so she was kinda scared. "MONICA!" He yelled. She jumped at the sound of his voice so loud. "Down here." She said calmly. "When were you planning on telling me?" He asked frowning. "Tell you what dearest?" She asked with an awkward smiling knowing exactly what he was talking about. "You know what, why didn't you just tell me you were leaving, what's wrong?" "I'm sorry okay I just didn't want to say goodbye I'm gonna be gone 2 weeks that's a long time apart." She said he voice cracking. "Why was it so hard?" He asked gently putting his arms around her waist. "I love you and you love me so we will be fine it seems long but it will be fast." He said soothingly. She laid her head on his chest. "I've never been in love before, until now, and I don't want to know what it feels like to have to say goodbye even if it is only for 2 weeks." He gently kissed her forehead then her neck and then her lips. "Quick question, you have to broken legs how the hell did you get here?" She smiled. "Roger helped me onto Edmond and then Edmond walked here slowly sensing I was hurt and then carefully brought me down here." She kept talking. "I knew I wouldn't be able to get down but then he later down on this bug rock here so I could carefully scoot off and sit and splash him while he played in the water." "He's a good horse, he's the only guy I trust with you." She laughed at that. "Well I am going away for 2 weeks what about all the guys in Europe that I might meet?" "Well I guess I'm gonna have to come with you, I'm just kidding." Edmond laid back down and Monica lifted herself back on him. "I have to go but I love you and I will call you every night to tell you what I did." "Okay." As she sped away on Edmond Terrance couldn't help but feel alone like the best part of him was taken away from him.

The car ride to the airport wasn't long but the plane ride was super long. Monica was so uncomfortable because she couldn't situate her legs or they would hurt to much and she missed Terrance already, she just couldn't stop thinking about him. Three quarters of the flight all Kimberly did was sleep and the other quarter she ate the food they made since they had the best seats on the plane and she read a book. First stop Paris and it was beautiful! When they got to there hotel Monica quickly texted Terrance they hadn't gotten there safely but she was to tired to call so she went straight to bed. The next morning Kimberly woke Monica up and they went to the best bakery in Paris. Monica had a croissant which surprisingly was the best croissant she had ever tasted and camomile tea. Two men were hired to push Kimberly and Monica around all day which was weird but they enjoyed themselves. Monica learned little things about her mother like how her favorite color was teal, her favorite food was hot dogs with chili but she never ate it because it was to unhealthy and her favorite animal was a turtle. They took a picture together near the Eiffel Tower and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. They had been going around Paris from 10am to 7pm when they headed back to the Eiffel Tower to see the fireworks which were the most beautiful Monica andKimberly had ever seen! Near 8:30pm they got back to the hotel when Monica got a call from Lib, she hadn't seen Lib in over a month and she hadn't spoken to her in a week so it was a surprise. "Hi Lib how are you its so good to..." Lib cut her off. "Monica where are you?" She said in a panic. "I'm in Paris with Kimberly we are on a 2 week trip that just started yesterday, why? Is everything okay?" "No I came back to Vermont to surprise you and I knocked and no one answered but the door slowly opened so I got nervous and walked in then I grabbed an umbrella to attack whoever was here and I saw Terrance sprawled on the floor." Monica's heart stopped everything she had ever known just disappeared she listened intently and didn't even realize she was crying. "I called 911 right away and then I put a cloth on his stomach to stop the blood but it just kept coming and when the ambulance got here he had blacked out and now I'm at the hospital and they won't tell me what's going on." Monica dropped the phone and then she through up just right there on the floor. Kimberly wheeled over trying to get Monica to talk but Monica couldn't think she couldn't move all se could do was cry.
