Monica POV
---------------
"What do you really want with me?" I asked suspiciously. It had now been a week in my fathers custody and he had done nothing meaningful to explain why he was here. "Do you really want to know.?" He asked. I shook my head because I was ready for the answer to why my father would want me. "You know how I told you I wanted to kill your mother for taking my daughter but there wasn't enough time because she died before I go the chance." "Yah I do and you shot my boyfriend." He ignored the last part. "Well since I wanted to take you anyway I decided it would be right to kill you in her place." He smiled one of the scariest smiles I had ever seen. I stood up and all of a sudden there wasn't any pain in my ankle so I ran, I ran as fast as I could, I ran as fast as I would for our lacrosse races but because I wasn't holding the stick like in practice I could run even faster.

I could hear him behind me running but then I didn't hear him anymore and I would have stopped but my adrenaline was still high and I had a feeling it would be a bad idea to stop. When I found the road to Kimberly's house I ran on it faster and faster and faster. My adrenaline slowed down but I knew I was no more then a 1 minute walk away from a gas station so huffing I walked fast. I had loose change in my pocket so I put it in the pay phone and called 911.
"911 what's your emergency?" I heard the lady ask on the other line. I explained everything as fast as I could and when the lady asked where I was I told her to meet me on a road 5 minutes away from the hospital because I knew I had enough energy to make it that far. I hung up the phone and sprinted in the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of the truck that had gotten me last time far away on the road but close enough to catch up to me before I got to where I said to meet me so I willed everything in me and I just kept going.

It had been at least 4 minutes when I saw the truck at least 30 feet away but I was literally 100 feet from the spot it told the police to meet me. I saw 4 cop cars blocking the road but I wasn't gonna make it because my father swerved in front of me so I had to stop running. I couldn't see them but I could hear the police sirens on and speeding towards us. He jumped out of the car held the gun to my head and told me to get on the back so I did. All the cops got out holding out guns and pointing them at my father. "Don't move or shoot because I will kill her I don't care who she is I won't go back to jail without doing something." I had taken karate lessons when I was little and I still remembered one move I don't know why but I did it. I flipped backwards and tried to kick the gun... "BANG!" The gun shot and then I fell.
