We were all in the library, our group which is now The Droscov's, The Hampton's and The Stone Dragons.
We sat in the abandoned section, bigger than I once thought it was.
December and her play-pretend boyfriend sat in the middle of the group, all of us watching them.
He was showing her Fire magic.
She gasped every time the small flame burst out of the middle of his right hand, he was trying to teach her to do it.
He grabbed her little hand and held it in his large left hand.
Deciding on an easier method, he speaks again.
"I'm going to put the flame in your hand. I want you to watch the flame. And with your mind, focus on not letting it go out. Think of it still staying ablaze. Focus on it."
He cupped his hand over her's, leaving an opening for the flame to have oxygen.
He moved his hand away and she gasped that the flame was in her hand.
And the flame went out.
She frowned and he put a new flame in her little hand.
She stared at the flame intently. The flame nearly went out but she pulled it back up.
The flame stayed in her hands for a few minutes and then went out.
"Don't worry, you were doing fine. I put it out." He told her.
"Oh." She said.
"Okay now that you have held the flame, try to make one of your own in your hand. Focus."
She stared at her hand and nothing happened.
Then she closed her eyes and thought hard on wanting the one tiny little flame.
And the little flame flared out of her hand, a lot messier than Adrian's perfect flame had been.
But she had done it.
She held the little flame and looked at Adrian, smiling.
He gave her a small kiss on the forehead and the flame flared even more, and less sloppy.
She cheered.
He used a kiss to her forehead to put power and perfection to the flame without taking control of it. He's trying to let her mind fully feel the strength it's perfect form so that she will be able to form it herself. Because she can't feel the power from the flame in her own body and magic if it's his flame.
He snuffed the flame with his mind, about to try another.
A flame came out of his hand.
"Okay. Now make this flame go out. Think of it no longer in existence, and make it disappear."
She stared at the little flame. It wavered and fixed itself.
She focused hard on the flame for minutes and it would move, but not go out.
She stared harder and the flame still stayed.
She sighed loudly.
He snuffed the flame.
"Try again. Snuff the flame."
A new flame arose in his hand. She clasped her hand over his and the flame went out.
They both laughed.
"You know that's not really what I meant." He said, still laughing.
She giggled and he lit the flame again, I thought as I watched her try to destroy the flame.
No one ever had the chance to teach me magic. She is learning magic, from one of the best Fire Users in existence.
Yeah, she's really lucky.
One of the best in existence?
My eyes caught his, widening.
Mind reading is a Spirit talent, how did you do that?
He didn't respond, he just looked back down at December.
I pushed far into Adrian's mind, getting my answer.
"You're multi-elemental also." I said.
"Please don't tell anyone. I don't want to deal with it all."
"No one is going to really cause you a problem." I said.
"Please just don't tell anyone." He said.
I nodded.
He looked back to her as she kept trying. The ends of her curls lit up with an orange flame, Fire magic flaring up in her.
The flame in his hand was gone.
He clenched his hand shut and glanced around.
"If anyone sees anyone noticing me, tell me quickly."
He looked December directly in the eyes.
"Okay, I'm going to teach you how to use compulsion." He said to her.
As he looked into her eyes, I sensed the magic building up in him. It was bright and beautiful. I could see it, being a Spirit user also.
The magic seized her mind, taking much more magic and effort than he thought it would.
"December, will you go kiss your father on the cheek?"
She stood up and came over to me, and kissed my cheek.
She then went and sat back in front of him.
He released the compulsion.
"I want you to try to compel me. Do you think you can?" He said.
She giggled and looked at him.
The magic instantly took him over. She smiled and he smiled back at her, dazed, ready to obey her every little word.
"Myyy wan a...!" She said and touched her finger to her bottom lip.
He leaned toward her, his eyes closed, to kiss her.
But before he did, he stopped and his eyes opened.
She had released the magic.
"May I ask why you stopped? I'm just wondering, did your magic weaken?" He asked, still right by her face.
"Betaus. Myyy not wan one unled ou do it." She said and giggled.
He pulled back.
"Well you don't need any lessons in compulsion, your magic is strong."
"How strong?" Joseph asked.
"My mind had no chance against her magic. She's very strong." Adrian said, smiling.
They practiced on magic for another hour or so longer.
Then we got up when Mark got a phone call, beckoning us to lunch.
We all walked back to the cafeteria together.
It had been returned to its former 'glory', and students were pouring in from classes.
When I stepped through the door, eyes instantly locked on me.
I was still wearing the crown.
Other students gaped at me, the freak of the school.
"Don't pay them any mind." Mark said.
We proceeded to walk toward the line that serves Chinese and Japanese food, but I was stopped.
A girl with dyed pink hair stepped in front of me, in short shorts and a strapless purple crop top.
"Hey there sexy." She said, and tried to run her fingers down my chest, but I backed up.
"Oh, come on! Why are you being shy? I'm not shy." She said.
She winked and licked her bottom lip at me.
"I have a girlfriend. And you should have more respect for yourself than try to get with and probably try to screw someone just because they just became royal." I said.
She was obviously shocked, as most people here have never heard me say more than six words.
I walked past her and got my food.
I got Chinese noodles, chicken and egg rolls.
So after we all got food, we sat down at a table in the corner.
And five Guardians walked over to the table with the Headmaster.
