Breakfast surprise

•April's POV•
I wake up the next morning and check my phone. It's 7:30am so Paul is most likely still asleep. I have 2 missed calls from Chloe and one text from my mom.
Mom: "ur brother and I went to get breakfast. You're ass was asleep so you can fucking starve"
Why is my mom always mean to me? I'm a good kid and I have really good grades. Oh well. I call Chloe back.
"Hey Chlo."
"Hey turd. What's up?"
"You called?"
"Oh yeah haha. Well I was wondering if later you want to go to the lake?"
"Oh sure sounds good. Um. What time?"
"Mmm about 7:00 tonight?"
"Yeah I'll see you later. Oh hey I'm have you eaten yet?"
"No. Why?"
"Well I'm alone, I'm hungry, and I have money."
"On my way."
I chuckle and hang up.
It amazes me the love Chloe has for food but she never gains weight. I remember we used to force her to eat a lot but she still wouldn't gain much. I get cut out of my thoughts by a knocking at the door and I assume it's Chloe.
"Hey Chlo. Let me get my bag."
"Okay."
I get my bag and get in a car that's not Chloe's. "Who's car is that?" I ask her.
"Oh it's Danny's. He came along. I hope that's alright." She told me with a smile on her face. Wow he does make her happy. Well I'm happy for her. "It's fine but I don't think I have enough money for all of us." I told her.
"Oh don't worry. I got payed yesterday. I wasn't going to make you pay for us." She replied laughing. I nod and get in the back of the car.

The whole ride to the diner Danny and Chloe were holding hands and laughing. They sang a few songs together and their voices match in perfect harmony. I took a quick picture of them and posted it to Twitter because they are now officially goals.

I look up at them and they both get the notification. Danny tells Chloe to check it for him when she's done checking hers. Okay like why can't I have that? Ugh they are way too cute.
Chloe checks her phone, looks back at my with a 'are-you-serious' kinda look. I just nod and laugh. She comments

Chloe looks and waits until we get to a stop light and shows Danny the picture. He laughs and tell her "we are pretty cute though" she blushes.
We get to the diner and I walk in first. I see Paul sitting at a booth alone. I look at Chloe and Danny and they have smiles on their faces. "Gosh you guys are dorks." I tell them. I walk over to Paul and he smiles and me and I return the smile. Paul picks me up and swings me around while he kisses me gently. "Okay you can stop now you two." Chloe tells us. "Hey I had to suffer through you and Danny being all cute in the car now you can suffer this." I reply to her. I grab Paul's face and press our lips together. I hear Danny chuckle and tell Chloe "Come on baby just sit down and we'll be cuter than them." She blushes then sits next to him.

We all sit down and talk about what we're thinking about doing this summer. Paul said he wants to meet 5 Seconds of Summer and we just laugh at him. He is such a Fanboy. Chloe is of course going to Ohio for 3 weeks like she does every summer. Her parents give her so much freedom. By the way, she goes by herself and she always tries to get me to go. I might go this year I don't know. Danny said he has nothing planned this summer. He looks at Chloe and smiles. She smiles back. They're hiding something but I just don't know what it is.
After a few minutes of talking about how Danny is so I love with his hair our waiter (John) comes to get our drinks. We all get coffee and John smiles at me.
"What the fuck was that?" Chloe asked. "I don't know that was awkward." I tell her. I look at Paul and he looks sad. I grab his hand and interlock our fingers. Then a smile appears on his face really quickly.

John comes back with our drinks and sees Paul holding my hand and John's smile just drops. He gives us all our coffees then leaves. We look at our menus, which are bigger than I don't know what, and we look at what we want.

John comes to take our order and everyone chooses pancakes and eggs.

When John comes with our food Danny and Chloe's faces light up. I guess they both love pancakes. Paul is on his phone on twitter. I noticed he sees the picture I took earlier of Chloe and Danny. He retweets it and puts his phone down. "They are goals AF" he says to me laughing. I chuckle and nod. Paul grabs his pancake a a bites a hole into it placing the whole over his mouth and saying he is the syrup monster. He then grabs the syrup and puts his pancake down drowning his pancake in syrup. We all kind of laugh a little too hard at him.
We finish not long after and Danny pays for everyone. I tried to pay but he just blocked the check from me. I put down $7 for the tip and he hands me my money back without even looking away from Chloe. "What's up with you guys not letting me pay?!" I ask in frustration. "Men shall never let women pay for the meal ever!" Danny replies with a smile.

We get up and Paul asks me if I want to ride with him instead of having to suffer through Chloe and Danny again. I agree and get my headphones from Danny's car.

I hop into Paul's car and we take off. Paul goes in the opposite direction of my house. I look at him and he shakes his head. I put my hands up in defeat knowing that there is no use in asking him.
