Joe
*2 weeks later*
Best two weeks of my life since I met Summer. It was finally happening. I got my dream girl back. My phone jolted me out of my thoughts."Hello?" I answered, not bothering to check who was calling. I stood up and went to the closet, slipping off my shirt.
"Hey, it's Zoe." My big sister, Zoe, answered, sounding a bit worried.
"What's up sis?" I pulled on a grey shirt and looked for some jeans.
"Um... Well, you know how Summer and I were going out to pick up some food?" Her voice was shaky.
"Yes...." I said and hopped into some black skinny jeans.
"Well... Um... She went to one store and dropped me off and she was going to go to another store but.... B..." She was crying now.
"Spit it out Zo!" I was getting impatient. I walked to the bathroom and put a comb through my hair until I was happy.
"Summer got in a wreck and she's in the hospital!" Zoe spat out.
I sat in silence for a few seconds. "Hah, very funny!" I finally said. Zoe didn't answer. All I could hear was her sobs and Alfie whispering softly. "Wait, you're serious?"
"Joe, please come! She needs you..." Zoe cried. I hung up and ran to the other car, driving as fast as I could without getting pulled over to the hospital.
"What room is Summer Breeze in?" I demanded.
"And who are you?" The nurse said flatly, obviously bored.
"Joe Sugg, her boyfriend, father of her two twins! Where is her room!?"
"302" the nurse rolled her eyes as I ran to the designated room. I saw Zoe and Alfie sat outside.
"How is she?" I asked, trying to sound as calm as possible since the twins were sat beside them.
"I don't know. You should check." Alfie looked up from Zoe sadly. I nodded and walked in, expecting Summer to sit up and hug me and everything would be alright. She would laugh it off and we could be happy. Instead I got her paler than usual body on the bed with many tubes attached to her.
"Summer?" A tear slipped down my cheek. Her eyes fluttered open. "Summer, I love you so much!" I hugged her slightly, not wanting to hurt her.
She looked at me in confusion, furrowing her eyebrows.
"It's me, Joe. Remember? We had twins together? I'm your boyfriend?" I held her delicate hand.
She shook her head with a sad look. A doctor walked in.
"Why doesn't she remember me? Why isn't she talking? Will she remember me again?" I threw questions at him.
"The wreck might have shocked her into silence and I'm not sure why she doesn't remember you.... She seems to have no brain damage..." He scratched his head. "Only time can tell..."
