Summer
Fuck. My head hurt so bad. Shit, shit, shit, shit!
Then another thought popped into my mind. Where was I?
Oh Joe's bed. It smelled just like him: perfection and mint.
The sun shone through the drapes. I stood up and turned from the light that made my head throb. I changed into the clothes he had obviously laid out for me on the table. I closed my eyes and navigated to his bedroom door blind. I opened it and stepped onto the cold wooden floor, making me jump slightly. The floor creaked loudly as I made my way to the sitting room to find Joe still asleep on the sofa. He was curled up with his hair flopped to the side. His mouth was slightly parted. Adorable. I couldn't bear to wake him up so I walked to the kitchen and grabbed some frozen Hershey bar from the freezer. I unwrapped it and broke it into small separate pieces. I was nibbled on one when I felt someone kiss the top of my head and cover my eyes.
"Guess who?" He asked.
Good morning, sleepy." I giggled and kissed him on the lips when he walked over to face me. Then I winced as it felt like a knife going through my skull and to my brain.
"Are you okay?" Concern spread across his face. "We should get you to the hospital."
"I'm fine...." I winced as I said it.
"That's it. I'm taking you to the hospital." He grabbed a piece of chocolate and popped it in his mouth.
