Chapter 29

Jungkook: "Yn... please look at me."

Slowly like she was waking up from a nightmare she opened her red swollen eyes. She looked up at him with confused and empty eyes which only showing little anger.

He reached up and wiped her tears carefully with his thumb. He didn't even realize what he was doing and why he was doing, It felt natural.

Jungkook: "Stop crying now..."

Then he turned her gently... and pointed toward the bed.

Jungkook: "Look there."

Yn blinked slowly her eyelashes wet and heavy from endless crying. Her vision was still blurry but her eyes followed where Jungkook was pointing.

And then her breath caught in her throat. . Her heart skipped a beat.

On the bed sana was sitting quietly.

Alive. Breathing. Tears running down her cheeks and her hands clutching the bedsheet tightly. Yn’s lips parted but no sound came out.

She stared for a long moment-scared to believe it. Scared that it might be an illusion, another cruel trick of her mind. But Sana... she was really there.

Sana: "Y-Yn..." she whispered, her voice trembling.

And that was all it took.

Yn pushed Jungkook’s arms away and stumbled toward the bed. Her legs barely moved but her heart pulled her forward. She collapsed on the bed infront of sana.

Yn’s fingers slowly reached out touching Sana’s face as if making sure she was real and not some cruel illusion.

Yn: "S-Sana... you’re okay... y-you’re really here... you didn’t leave me... you didn’t..."

Sana "I’m here… I’m really here…"

And the next second…

She broke down again but this time in relief she hugged Sana so tightly and sobbed harder afraid she might disappear again.

Yn (crying): "I thought you died… I thought I lost you forever… I- I couldn’t..."

Sana hugged her back, crying just as hard.

Sana (choking out): "I’m here, Yn… I thought I was going to die… but they didn’t let the tiger eat me... I thought I will never see you again…"

The two best friends clung to each other like pieces of a broken puzzle finally fitting back together.

The room was filled with sobs and the raw sound of reunion. Jungkook took a step back while watching them.

He looked at Yn… the way she clung to her best friend like a child who had found their lost piece of the heart.

And for a little bit he felt like he is doing worng without a word he turned away silently, closing the door behind him as he left.

Sana pulled back slightly to look at Yn face, cupping her cheeks with trembling hands.

Sana: "You’re crying so much dummy… You’ll flood this whole place now.."

She tried to smile through her tears but her voice cracked at the end. Yn let out a soft sob and leaned into her hands like a child seeking warmth.

Yn: "I thought you were gone… I thought I lost you forever, Sana… I couldn’t breathe… I couldn’t think…"

Her voice broke completely and she fell forward again into Sana’s embrace her arms tightly wrapping around her like she never wanted to let her go again.
