Regina

I had it all. My son. My Robin and his son. But now Emma was gone, she gave herself up so I could posses all of this. Everyone had cleared away, but Robin and I remained in the street, I didn't move, no, I couldn't move. I felt his warmth against me, his hot breath against my neck. "Mom?" I heard Henry call, I squeezed my eyes shut and slowly turned to face my son who was standing behind us. "Henry?" I nearly sobbed, I walked towards him but he took a step back, holding his arms up in defense. "You really did this to my mom. My grandma said my mom was gone because... because she helped you!" He said, his face turning angry, I moved closer and tried to grab his hand but he pulled away. "No Henry, it's not like that! I didn't ask her to! I'm not lying!" I pleaded, he just turned from me and started sprinting towards the forest, I was about to start running when Robin grabbed my hand and pulled me back. "Regina, you shouldn't be running in the... condition you're in!" He said holding me back, Henry getting farther away. I ripped my hand away and started running, I heard Robin sigh then the pounding of his boots behind me.

I saw Henry reach the edge of town, his face flushed and angered. He reached the line and stared at it, the previous curse landing on the barrier between Storybrooke and the outside world, our cursed memories would be our only memories.

"HENRY NO!" I yelled, he stormed over to me and glared into my eyes. "I am so sick and tired of always losing the people I love, this is just like the time you sent my mother and grandmother away, do you think I believe that my mom just sacrificed herself for your happiness conveniently right after you get Robin back! I don't want to do it anymore, I just want my old life where I wasn't losing my family to darkness, and portals, and Evil Queens." He sneered, crossing the town line. I tried to pull him back in but it was too late, a blue aura shone from him and then he fell to the ground. Robin reached his hand over the line and pulled him back in, I lifted him into my lap and brushed his hair back, my little boy whom I loved so much, who truly believed that I would betray him like this. An idea popped into my head and it was bizarre, I didn't waste any time in shoving my hand into his chest, pulling out his heart, which had a small black dot, ever-growing. I looked up at Robin with horror, he knelt next to me and shoved his heart back into his chest gently, setting him down on the pavement. "You don't want him to freak out when he wakes up, being woken in the arms of a stranger can be terrifying." He stated cautiously. "But he's my son." I whimpered, he just nodded then stood me up. "Let's just step back." He whispered, I rose and stood hovering over him, he groaned then opened his eyes, gasping then shooting up. "Wha-! Where am I!" He gasped, I knelt down and placed my hand on his wrist, he seemed to relax and then looked up in relief. "Oh thank god you're here." He said exhaling, I shuddered and helped him up. "You remember who I am?" I said in a shaky voice. "Of course! My mom introduced us Madame Mayor." My heart dropped and I put on my facade that the citizens of this town were use to. "Of course. It slipped my mind." I said quickly, Robin came up behind me and smiled at the boy who was so similar to my son. "Let's get you out of this weather! Don't want you catching a cold!" Robin said patting his shoulder. He smiled then continued down the path with Robin, instantly taking a liking to him. "Where is my mom?" He asked, I glanced at Robin and started formulating a lie. "She.. Uh- she had to go and spend some time out of town for a lead on her case and noticed how much you liked it here so she asked if we all could watch you." I said quickly, he gave me a look signifying the lack of skill I had in lying. He shrugged and continued walking with Robin, asking him questions about manly things, as Robin put it.

We arrived at the mansion and let Henry in, I took him up the stairs and showed him into his room, hoping that his memories would come back. "Woah, where did you get all of this kid stuff? Do you have kids?" He asked bluntly, I started stammering and then composed myself. "Robin, uh, he has a son, Roland, sometimes he stays with us so I have his room set up, just waiting for him." I sighed sadly and then gave him a slight smile. "Well thank you for letting me stay with you Ms. Mills." He said formally, my heart pained and almost made me squeak. I frowned and then leaned against the doorframe. "You can just call me Regina." I said quietly, trying to get as much formality out of the way. "Oh, um okay, thank you Regina." He said awkwardly, I just nodded and then sighed. "You're always welcomed here, if you need anything I'm just down the hall." I said smiling, I naturally went in to hug him but he just turned away and started getting situated on the bed. "Thanks. Um, good night." He said nodding, I bit my lip and exited the room, the familiar pain returning.

Robin

I brushed my teeth in the bathroom and then heard Regina come in, throwing her shoes at the closet with full force. I rinsed my mouth out and then came into the room where I found her holding the small piggy bank that Henry had given her on Mother's Day, the look in her eyes telling me that she was either about to burst into tears or hurtle the clay towards the lamp I bought her. "Hey. I know. We are going to get his memories back." I said rubbing her arm, she just sighed and held the coin collector which was messily designed. "He called me the Evil Queen." She whispered, I saw how much that singular phrase upset her, she tried for so long to earn Henry back, and he knew exactly how to hurt her. "You are not. He was angry and confused and wanted to get under your skin." I said pressing my lips against the side of her head, she sighed and leaned into me, resting the piggy bank in her lap. "How are you?" I asked gently, she glared at me which made me rephrase myself. "Physically?" I chirped, she shrugged and laid back onto my chest. "Fine, a little sick earlier, now I'm a little better." She said bluntly, I trailed my hand down to the tiny curvature in her slender figure, the bump almost nonexistent, to everyone else it was, but to us it was very real. She closed her eyes and started humming softly on my chest, eventually falling into a light slumber.

I removed the thick leather jacket and tossed it into the hamper, along with her rough jeans. I pulled the thick fleece blanket around us and tucked her into me, breathing in the warm scent of apples and cinnamon, her freezing skin warming against mine. She murmured in her sleep then rested her head on my chest, I kissed her head then dozed off myself, thanking God that I didn't lose her today.
