Regina

I woke up to the sound of shuffling in the room, Robin held me tightly in his sleep, afraid that I may throw myself off of the balcony in the middle of the night. I rolled over and saw Henry standing by the crib, he had David's sword in his hand and had his chest puffed out. "Henry?" I whispered to him, he turned and shook his head, motioning to me to go back to sleep. I refused and wiggled out of Robin's grasp and placed a pillow between his arms. I slowly walked towards him, he rolled his eyes and grabbed my arms. "Go back to bed!" He said turning me away, I shook my head and grabbed onto the crib. "What are you doing! Why are you up!" I demanded, he had a firm grip on the sword and a hard look on his face. "If you were in a hospital someone would be watching Penelope and you could rest and sleep. Well I'm not letting anyone come and hurt her, I'm her big brother and if anyone wants to hurt her, I will kill them." He said confidently, I smiled at how protective he felt over his sister, but I knew how exhausted everyone was.

"Honey, it's okay. Robin and I are here, we can watch Penelope and make sure she is safe, you need to go to sleep." I insisted, pushing him to the door, he just shook his head and remained in the chair by his sister. "Fine. But you have to get some sleep." I demanded, he just nodded and placed the sword in his lap.

Robin

I heard my little girl crying and I shot up, Regina opened her eyes and used my arm to sit up. No matter how much she insisted, I knew she was tired and sore, but she would never listen to me when I told her to rest. "Mm babe, it's the baby." She groaned, I nodded and slipped out of bed, I turned and gasped at the sight I saw, Henry trying to battle Rumplestiltskin, he was conjuring fireballs and shooting them towards the crib, Henry took every blow and but his lip to prevent any sound from coming out, blood dripped down his chin from his teeth marks and his torso was covered in deep, severe burns.

I saw Rumple procure a fire ball that could obliterate Penelope in the blink of an eye, I ran over to the bed where I kept my bow and arrow and rushed back, waking Regina. "Robin?!"

Just as I pulled the quiver and released it, he sent the ball, but Henry grit his teeth and leaped in front of it. The arrow sunk into Rumple's shoulder and made him scream in anger and disappear. "HENRY!" Regina screamed from behind me, I rushed over and caught his burnt body. "Ah! This hurts!" He winced, Regina attempted to rush over to him and held his shoulders, setting him down on her lap. "Oh my god Henry, you should've gone back to bed!" She sobbed, he just grimaced and then looked at me. "Is she okay?" He moaned, I walked over to the crib and took Penelope out and checked her. "She's perfectly fine thanks to you Henry." I said trying to make him feel better. "I wasn't going to let him take her." He groaned, craning his neck up so he could see his sister. "You're going to be okay Henry, I am going to get you home." Regina vowed, taking her son into her lap. "No I'm not." He whimpered, tears coming out of his eyes, spilling on her nightgown. I bent over and pulled Regina away from Henry, blocking her from what I was about to do.

"I can save him, but it won't be pleasant." I said intensely, Will had gotten a severe burn in the woods and the doctor taught me what to do in that case, if it was that severe. "Robin what are you doing with my son!" Regina yelled, following me to the bed where I laid him. I tore his shirt and exposed the raw, hot flesh on his stomach, making Regina gasp and lunge towards her son. I grabbed her and then cupped her face, moving her away. "I need him to stay as still as possible, and I need you to be strong for him, this is going to hurt and he's scared right now. Can you do that for me please?" I asked gently, she nodded and put on her determined face, but her eyes softened for her son who was squirming in agony.

"Emma!" I yelled, she appeared in a cloud of purple smoke in front of Regina and I. "Henry?" She exclaimed, rushing to Regina's side, placing her hand on his unwounded shoulder. "It was Gold." Regina growled through her teeth, Emma's eyes became dark with anger and I knew that I had to end the two mother's fury for the time being.

"You two hold him down, I have to clean the wound then bind it, I don't have any morphine to take away his pain so we are going to have to hope this works." I said getting my blade out.

Regina

I saw Robin take out his blade and dip it into some alcohol, wiping it with a cloth. Henry gripped my hand when he saw it and the minute it came to contact with his skin, he cried out in complete agony. Emma and I helped restrain him while Robin worked, I wanted to take his pain from him and bear it on my shoulders, in hindsight childbirth was the least painful thing I endured that day, this was worse, losing Elizabeth hurt just as bad. "Henry you're okay, almost done honey." I assured him, Emma just held his hand and brushed his hair back behind his ears. "Come on kid, you're strong, you can do this." She whispered, wiping the sweat from his face.

"Okay! I'm done!" Robin said dropping the blade in the alcohol, cleaning his hands as he walked away. Henry was all bandaged up and he was shuddering from what he just endured. "Mom..." He croaked, Emma and I both walked over to him and kissed his cheeks. "I'm so sorry this happened." I said, my tears wetting his face, finally dropping my strong mask that I wore for him. "Mom it's not your fault. I'm her big brother, and she needed me to protect her." He said as if it were the most natural thing in the world, the pain making his voice raspy. "But it's my job to protect you." I said kissing his nose, pulling the blanket up and over him. "Mom I can go back to my bed-" He groaned at the pain as I laid him back down. "Henry Daniel Mills, you are going to sleep right now. That is an order." I said sternly, he just gave up on arguing this one and let his eyes close, falling into a deep slumber.

"You're a wonderful mommy." Robin said lifting me into his arms and taking me to the spare bedroom that connected to my chambers. He pulled back the blanket and set me down under the duvet. "Robin I-" "..Have to rest because despite what you believe and feel, gave birth to twins today and your body is going to hurt a lot worse tomorrow if you keep running around and lifting. Now that is an order." He said kissing my head and crawling in next to me, pulling my back up against his chest. "I love you Regina. Thank you so much for our kids." Before he could even finish I was asleep on him, worn out from the day.

I heard the baby cry so I tried to wiggle out of Robin's grip but he just held onto me tighter and then got up. "Go back to sleep." He whispered, slipping out of the bed over to the other room where Penelope was crying. My eyes started to shut but it stopped when Robin came in with our squirming infant. "I know I told you to sleep but I think our little one is hungry." He said sheepishly, placing her into my awaiting arms. "Okay, thank you, now do you know how to do this or..." He just sat next to me and helped me latch to her, she stopped crying and whimpered contently, I sighed and leaned back, shutting my eyes at the discomfort. "You're wonderful."

Robin

Penelope had awoken every hour after her feeding, I tried to get her every time but some times she just needed Regina, and I hated waking her, she needed her sleep and she'd be sore tomorrow.

The sun started to come up and I heard a loud pounding on our door, I winced and then relaxed when my baby and fiancé didn't make a sound.

"Guys! Sleeping baby and mother!" I exclaimed, Snow and Charming were standing in the threshold with Neal on her hip. "We need to know how we are getting back, and we can't cast the curse because we are both down to one half of a heart." They both whispered, I looked at them confused and they bit their lips. I had never worked with magic before and I was still learning all of the rules. "The person who casts it has to crush the heart of the thing they love most." Snow whispered. "Regina and I are the only ones who've ever cast it." I was trying to wrap my head around everything she was telling me. "Then who did you two kill!" I exclaimed, she looked uneasy and lifted Neal higher on her hip. "I killed Charming, and I don't think I should be the one to tell you about her. This isn't the point though, we need a way to get back and this is the only way." Snow said abruptly, I rubbed my eyes and looked over at Charming who just nodded in agreement.

"Well I guess we are enacting this bloody curse because we need to get home."
