Chapter 7- Johnny Comes Home!

It's been a week since you've told Pony, and it's never been better! It's like since you told him, his bond with you got stronger. Everyday since then, you've been going to visit Johnny. Today was extra special though. You were in Pony and Soda's bed, and you lie there wide awake, waiting for Pony to wake up from his sleep. Gosh he's cute when he's sleeping. I thought to myself. I kissed him, only to feel him smirk, and blush behind it. He kissed back and I knew he was awake. I pulled away and started talking. "Pone.. It's been a week. Johnny comes home today! Let's go get him!" I grabbed his hand and jumped up. We got ready, and started towards the hospital. Pony walked sleepily, and stumbled forward. I took his hand. "Pone, you coulda just stayed home and slept." He looked at me. "No way. I'm fine" he kissed my cheek, and we continued. I felt as though we were being followed. I reached into my back pocket and grabbed my switch. He did the same. We turned around to a too familiar red corvette. Cherry. She, along with 2 other strong looking guys got out. "Ooh.. What have we here?" She came over and spat in my face. Pony took a step back in case I punched her, and to look at the guys. Cherry has hated me with a passion ever since I can remember. "Haha. What do yah want?" "What do I want.. Hmm.. Eenie, Meenie, Minie, Ponyboy." I gritted my teeth. "No way. There's gotta be something else." I swung at her knocking her backwards. Her nose was bleeding badly. Jackpot! Pony came over and stood closer. "When I say run, run! Ok?" He whispered. "Only if you do." I crossed my arms. "Fine." The two guys swung at me. And I went ninja on them. I grabbed him by the neck and jumped on his back. "Run!" But I ignored him. I was determined. I pulled back, but he didn't come back, instead tried to pull me off. I kicked behind his knee, maki him loose his balance. Meanwhile, Pony and the other guy were brawling. I reached around, and put my switch along his neck. He got up, screaming "Don't hurt me! It's Cherry's fault!" Running back to the Corvette. The other one did the same. Me and Pony high fived, and then Cherry came over. She punched me squared in the jaw. I stumbled back, but didn't fall. I'm fine. I mouthed to Pony. She tackled me to the ground, making me hit hard. She kept punching. I put her in a headlock, and she gave up. She scrambled to get up, running back to the Corvette. As they left, Pony came over to my body still laying on the ground. He helped me up, and started questioning me. "Baby, are you ok?" "Yeah." I was bleeding from my arms and legs, and had a headache. He only had a cut lip, elbow, and knee. Other than that we were fine. "C'mon! Let's go!" He shook his head in amazement at the fact that I just got beat up, and now wanted to go to a hospital. Luckily the hospital was right around the corner. We walked into the hospital, and the lady at the front desk looked at us. "What happened? Are y'all okay?" "Yeah, yeah, fine.. How's Johnny Cade? Can he come out?" She looked at us for a minute before replying. "He's doing ok. He should be able to come out, yes." I ran to his room, dragging Pony with me. Our blood was dripping all over he floor, but Johnny was the only thing on my mind right now. I walked in, and he lit up. "Guys! Can I get out of this place yet? I'm goin crazy!.... And what happened to you two?!" I chuckled. "Yeah. Come on. And Cherry Valance" I said with gritted teeth at the end. Then I got his clothes from the freshly cleaned pile, and gave him them. He got up, and went to change. I took his and Pony's hand, and we left the hospital. We walked back to Pony's house, and everyone was there. "Johnny!" Everyone exclaimed. Then they looked at me and Pony. Darry came over. "Guys.. What happened?" I looked at Pony. "Um.. Socs?" The gang formed around Johnny, then all their attention on me. "Which ones?" Steve asked. Soda looked worried. "Um see.. We were on our way to get Johnny, and I felt like we were being followed.." I laughed to lighten the moment. Nothing. "Hmm. Tough crowd. Anyway, so I turned around to see a familiar red Corvette.. And well. Cherry and two tough looking guys got out. She nailed me in my face.. I punched her.. And well.. There was a brawl in the middle of the street. The guys ran back, but me and Cherry battled for another minute until she chickened up and left. Then we got Johnny.. And yah you know the rest." I looked down, hoping some of the attention would go away. Johnny and Pony noticed I was uncomfortable and pushed past the guys and led me to the couch. Johnny grabbed the first aid kit, and fixed us up. As soon as he finished, questions were thrown at us. I don't even know who said what. I started feeling dizzy, and then everything went black.
