Back to reality, thank god no one at work speculated anything. It's like nothing even happened. But I was trying to keep my distance from James. Just so I could get my mind right.

If he called me into his office I wouldn't eve go all the way in. He would try and get me to come inside but I always made up an excuse on why I couldn't stay long.

All this mess I needed a girls night out and try to forget everything. Marissa would be the perfect person to go with.

"Hello".

"Hey...".

"Oh look who it is!. What did he dump you already?".

"No, but it just got more complicated and I need to go out and clear my mind".

"Say no more, we'll go the club viper and drink to our hearts content".

"Okay good, I'll meet you there around 9".

"Yay!. I missed these nights in excited and you better not flake either".

"I'll be there, bye crazy".

"Uh huh, bye".

I came back from the back when James grabbed me quick pulling me into his office as he closed the door.

"Why are you avoiding me?".

"I'm not avoiding you!. I'm just very busy" as I lied.

"No!. I'm not stupid you're avoiding me!. Why?!".

"No reason in particular".

"Did I do something?".

Is he serious, so acting bipolar doesn't ring a bell.

"No!. It's just me I need to breathe a little".

"You need to breathe?".

Only if he knew that his brother tried to kiss me in Toronto!.

"Yes... I need to hang out with my friends and go out and have fun".

"So you rather go out and drink and get stupid than be with me?".

Why does he have to make this about him?.

"Listen, I need some friends time. I've been with you this whole time. Go spend time with your wife".

That's when he quickly grabbed my arm and came close to me "don't mention her and I've told you she's not your concern" as he hissed.

"You're hurting me!!" As I pulled out of his grasp. I rubbed my arm as I just stared at him.

"I'm sorry!. Come here--".

"No, I have to go back work now" as I cut him off. I stormed out of his office and went straight to the bathroom to see what my arm looked like. I witnessed a small bruise forming.

Drinking will definitely be needed tonight.

The music was bumping and people were dancing. The place was crowded and you could feel the mood in this place. Marissa grabbed me pulling me with her to the bar.

"Order me a sex on the beach, please?!" As I smiled shyly.

"You're too much. Hey can I have a sex on the beach and a tequila sunrise".

"Tequila sunrise?. I've never had that... How does it taste?".

"It's so good but it'll mess you up real quick, though".
